Both viewpoints are correct but we have already made the Final 3 out of last 4 years and we can't risk getting more injuries like alisson, gravenberch, leoni and Isak. We only have 3 fit CBs of which two of them are injury prone. Focus on the FA Cup if woried about winning a domestic cup. Also next games are madrid and city so we would want players to be fit otherwise we keep losing.
