  1. United should adopt a 3-4-3 similar to Leverkusen. Onana, Yoro, De Ligt, Martinez at the back. Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Shaw. Bruno and Zirkzee as the two 10’s/9 also helping out those wide triangles with the wingbacks and midfielders, Hojlund up top. Can change to a 3-5-2 when needed Zirkzee can go up front too. Bruno can also drop and make it a midfield 3 with Mainoo and Ugarte as he is versatile. Would get the best out of Mainoo having ugarte beside him and plenty of protection behind so he would be able to find Bruno and Zirkzee in those pockets which would be the main goal of this system. Wingbacks would hold width while attacking but also come inside while the ball is on the other side and form a good rest defence with Ugarte and the 3 centre backs if Mainoo goes a bit more forward. Only problem is sacrificing wingers like Rashford and Garnacho but honestly haven’t been very impressed with them this season anyway (or last season) but you could always bring them on for a burst of pace and freshness or even swap Zirkzee and Rashford in this system (however Ten Hag NEEDS to utilise Zirkzee in the right positions dropping in which is why I have him just behind Hojlund). I’m saying this as a Liverpool fan I hate United but I think this team would have potential for top 4 but injuries might not make it possible.

  2. Carragher is an idiot, going on like INEOS have been in for years, they’ve been in for less than a year and had to wait to get their people in. Liverpool had everyone in place to sort their manager out and knew he was leaving and still didn’t get their first choice.

  3. Maybe its not embarrassing for Man United to lose to Brighton and Liverpool who are consistently better over the years. But will be truely embarrassing if they fail to beat Southampton which is surely a must win game

  4. By letter of the law? I we started counting how many times these referess did not apply the letter of the law the would never be allowed to ref another pl match

  5. credit to peter drury for the question at 1:40, highlighting the impact of people's perceptions to footballer's doing this job and trying to give the fans what they want. I'm a Liverpool fan. And I love what Liverpool did to United in that game but this is an important question. And there's no doubt about what kind of footballer Rashford is. His issues are not based on talent. And it's essential that this kind of thing is talked about, especially in the non-derogatory terms that this question is put. Rashford isn't a bad person for playing badly despite his talent. It shows how important appreciation, love, attention, care are to performance. I'll back Liverpool to embarrass United every time they play them but these people involved in this spectacle for our entertainment deserve to learn how love themselves (in a genuine, non-Ronaldo kind of way)

  6. The new Manchester United management eroded and weakened the managers position and strength in the dressing room over the summer. After the FA Cup win they should have been strong enough to make a move away from his leadership.

The way they dealt with his possible departure in my opinion was emasculating and disrespectful. Courting other managers and having meetings for his job isn’t the way to strategically move forward, and not within a two week period at the end of the season.

All this in full public view and now the players have recognized ETH has no value amongst his own peers. We did bottle it and Gary knows it, stop defending the indefensible.

  7. Neville is disregarding the professional attitudes of Liverpool’s players to think they would still be all for Klopp when Slot came in. He does them a disservice and their loyalty to Klopp and Liverpool by saying that.

  8. Marcus rashford should go and watch the videos of the goals on repeat he used to score just to remind himself of what he can do. Keep watching them until he starts to believe them again

  9. Get real.People who make the kind of money that footballers do nowadays do not have the support system to help them through bad games or performances. Society is expected to feel for a bunch of overpaid people.Dont get me wrong-top class footballers and premier league players bring so much joy to everyone every week.Would it not be better capping salaries and rather putting the extra money towards retirement for players…..

  10. To be fair, Gary Neville being on the Gary Neville podcast is great to be fair, to be fair this joke may be dead, but to be fair he’s still being fair.

  11. The difference between Liverpool and United is that SAF would have been sacked by Liverpool if he had been their manager and made the same start. Liverpool managers walk alone if the fans don't see immediate improvements on the pitch.

  12. Getting embarrassed for G Nev if he keeps defending this lot. Man United's spine is weak and he isn't calling it. Keeper is well dodgy, captain disappears most games, and nowhere near a threat up top.
