MLS really flummoxes me. The LA Galaxy field one American starter (you could argue two as Fagundez grew up in the USA), but they have an American manager. In a country trying to build itself from a low level, it should be precisely the other way around. A team that would be roughly half or more American, but with an experienced foreign coach to help develop the players and eventually sell the best ones on to bigger clubs. Instead they've got a 21 year old Brazillian kid on loan from Botafogo (where he wasn't playing) starting at striker. I realize they have no choice, I mean how on Earth are you going to be able to find young soccer players in a soccer wasteland like Los Angeles?

Reus is such a committed player. When he first landed here, he showed his class right away but he also got injured and I thought it would be the typical older player in and out of IL but little by little he seems to be able to stay healthy and especially now that Ricky is gone and Reus has stepped up.
