  1. The good die young! That might be why I’m still around! I pray for the family and friends of this couple that the lord gives them strength during this terrible time!

  2. Thank you to these two beautiful people for living your best lives and investing in so many others. Your memory will live on and continue to be honored in the lives that you touched and helped make better. Rest in peace.

  3. I may get a lot of hate for saying this… but years ago, when I was a teen, I had a friend killed coming home from a church night. I was so broken and could not understand WHY? WHY him?? WHY this guy that was kind to everyone, and WHY did this friend that was a friend to everyone WHY, WHY, WHY?? HE WAS SO GOOD! He did everything right!

I was out front at my home, sitting on the front steps crying and screaming… WHY?!!

My mother came out and sat beside me and placed her arm around me, holding me.

She says something that changed everything for me in that very moment.

She spoke so quietly, and comforting. She says that she too lost a friend early in life and her grandfather told her when her friend was taken that God sometimes picks the most kindest soul and the most beautiful flower for his special bouquet. That bouquet is made up of those that are truly ready to come and live with him.

I don't know if this will help someone or not, but I know it changed everything for me that day when I did not understand at such a young age.

My prayers for all in this very difficult time.

  4. I know that coach tried to do everything to save his family and his wife. God bless him and his wife. No one deserved such a horrific tragedy which could happen to anyone. I never have a mindset that it can not happen here or happen to me. From the description of it from witnesses, it happened all so quickly and while some were in their beds asleep.❀❀❀❀😒😭😭😭😭

  5. So sad. I'm in Alaska. I used to live in and around Austin in the early 70's. Swam n fished in the Guadalupe. Ran a bar on Guadalupe Street. All my home grown Texans showed me everything. Oh, was a Seattle boy. I loved that country. Just sad y'all I can't help now…

  6. For all the mean people in the world that cause destruction and chaos, sometimes i truly struggle when I hear a story about an exceptional person who was taken away so tragically. My heart bleeds for this community. Sending all my love from NC ❀

  7. Devastating loss of this coach and his wife. The young man with tears in his eyes speaks to the Coach's impact on his life.God be with their family and friends. Bless all the kids that knew him

  8. Its sad that as a society, we never tell people what we think and feel about them until after they are gone. They might know we like them or maybe even know we love them but we don't usually tell them. We don't give them all this wonderful information in their Eulogy until they can't hear us. It would be encouraging and uplifting as a fellow human to KNOW how people feel and think and ADMIRE us. Maybe we can start a Lee trend and start telling people the things we feel and think. Even saying I really like you is a start. Or, I like the way you yell good job at us when we make a good play. Just start saying the Eulogy before they are gone and can't hear it. How about Wow, I hope to be a great Father like you some day. Or, Thanks Lee, you have been the parent I didn't have growing up, I need that. Give them a hug. Then we can say when they leave us unexpectedly I sure am glad I told them how I feel. THAT would be the BEST THING EVER!!!! What do you think Lee friends and fans??? I'm ready I just hope maybe somebody has a little something nice to say to me. 😊 Spread the Love Lee Style.

  9. I know there are going to be hundreds of stories about those that passed in this horrible flood. As a Texan I think I can say that our State is full of good people out there helping find the missing, and starting the clean up and the rebuilding of this beautiful area. Sending prayers your way.
