Kaká v Manchester United, 2007: 60 Great UEFA Goals

Milan’s run to UEFA Champions League glory in the 2006/07 season included a semi-final elimination of Manchester United. Kaká was instrumental in the first leg with two goals, including this outstanding effort for which he somehow evaded Gabriel Heinze, Patrice Evra and Edwin van der Sar to score.

  1. I don't care if you disagree or not, but I can tell you now that if Kaká stayed fit and played like he did in 2007 every season, no one would catch him. He'd be the best player every season. But that's the difference between others and CR7 and Messi. CR7 and Messi CONSISTENTLY played at an ultimate level every season. And that's why they're unmatched.
But I can tell you the one player that would beat CR7 and Messi if they could consistently perform at their ultimate is Kaká. Him and Ronaldinho, probably.
Kaká's undoing was an injury. Never the same again after his injury. Ronaldinho's was his ill discipline.

  2. Back in my early days as a futbol fan. Huge Ronaldo fan (I didn’t know how much at the time – I was all manU, until Naldo left, now I’m all gunners all the way)
I had no idea of Kaká. This was my first heartbreak in Champions League competition. This WAS Kaká’s moment.
