Del Piero is auch a legend, and his personality and his devotion to the sport made him loved by everyone in Italy. He has so much credit, more than anyone before, that (I personally believe) Juventus directors fear he is going to have too much power, that his decisions will always weight more that anyone's else. That's why, I think, he is not president yet.
The guy is one of the greatest legends of soccer.
His story is also one of the greatest and most intense ever written in the sport's history.
