the first confusion you have is when you consider Motta an attacking coach : look at the statistics of Bologna and Spezia : his main strong point was the defence ,in Bologna he had more or less the same statistic of Allegris' Juve in both goal scored and conceded . yes , he is more propositive , but attacking is not something that is working good . this season juventus can't close the games for the many mistakes in attack . 13 draws out 0f 20 in Serie A , 16 ( +2 defeats against Stoccarda in UCL and against Milan in Supercoppa) out of 30 in the Season. like 35% of wins in Seie A and 40% in the season overall . is not a good season at all . Juve begun to get goals against when Bremer and Cabal the designed central defender both got knee injuries , in the first part of the season scoring to juve was almost impossible .

As an italian i can tell you that Motta's Bologna has been misunderstood by media. Was not an attacking team, was very defensive and conservative, but not in the way the we used to think. They used to defend with the possession and the development of the action wasn't that quick and vertical if there were not two or three elements in the starting team such as Zirkzee and Calafiori. I think that Juventus is struggling with Motta even because Koopmeiners is not playing in a role that fits him and also because of injuries and some bad investments on market like Di Gregorio, that is a good goalkeeper but not for 25 mln and to remain without an alternative to Vlahovic. You have already Perin that is criminally underrated.
Juventus this year has a new project both from a technical-tactical and corporate point of view. the team is very young and there are no leaders or people used to winning as historically belongs to Juventus. this could be a small key to understanding those small individual errors that lost precious points against Cagliari, Empoli, Lecce and Fiorentina. considering that with a bit of luck there could have been four victories the ranking would have been profoundly different and speaking of small individual errors I don't see such a tragic future. Motta's method could perhaps be ineffective but the change I saw in the players, the same ones who were there in the last three seasons, was huge in a positive sense and this thing goes unnoticed.
Thank God they changed the point system in the 90s with three points for a win, not rewarding teams like that…

1. Stating motta to ba a quote "attacking coach" is aboslute fallasy and spreading missinformation. Please do better and do your research. Motta primarily focuses on defence, which does not mean all hold back, but keeping the ball and striking when the opportunity arises. This is very different from "attacking football" which is what for example gasperini does.
2. What are you quoting "i want to build a team that everybody is afraid of". That is also a complete lie. He said "I want to dominate the game" which is what happens in all the matches, but does not manage (yet) to get the winning goal.
3. "The team does not have an identity"…What the hell are you smoking man, please watch the Serie A if you want to make videos about it. Juventus is the Nr.1 in the league with ball possession. This means that already just for this one point the team has a defined identity.

It will come, Douglas Luiz is coming to life, the mid to final third links are still to be fixed, but they will get there. When you start the season with 4 of your backlines injured one after the others, you will always have to rebuild everytime.
Just imagine this team without any injury. Milik is yet to play, Vlahovic is playing half injured….
The guy was never an attacking coach. He always built from a defensive mindset. He's good in transition and can catch teams off guard, but his bolognia side were a defensive team first

We may not win anything this season but we're building with tons of new young players… There've been some mistakes from Motta and from the board as well for sure but I think overall you can see the potential, I'm confident our future is bright!
tbf Kephran Thuram, Weston Mckennie and Pierre Kalulu have shown greats signs of improvement. Samuel Mbangula is a starter coming from youth team and Nico Savona is a rotational Player again coming from youth team. They pllay decent football but they dont score. Thats the problem to fix
it's his first season with Juventus and he show that he have good ideas (all the good players are injuried) give him time he will build a strong team

I’m a Juventus fan since early 90’s. This Juve is so far away from the Juve I remembered, it settles at mediocrity, it saddens me.
Just to say, Motta has never been an attacking coach and has always prioritized defense first, just not in the way Allegri did with 11 players behind the ball at all times.
Motta is not attacking coach, he gives kore freedome in defence and less in attack comparing to Allegri. Look at the numbers from last season, same points, scored and conceded goals.
