  1. LOOL coaching USAMNT would be such a step down the ladder… that would be like coaching a championship club for him so keep dreaming america, he might bless you with an answer, but him coaching this team .. get out of here…

  2. why on Earth would Jurgen Klopp waste his time and tarnish his legacy with the USMNT? we don't deserve him and don't have a program good enough to back him.

  3. As longer is call soccer will never improve ! So many factors as so many soccer moms . Hamburger league is full with Latinos and pay to play players . We don’t have the spirit and foundation like the rest of the world has

  4. Personally I believe that the US needs to hire a coach from south America, if they hire Klopp he would be like the sixth German coach they hire in their history and all the coaches they have hired are coaches that coach European style of football while the base of US soccer is Latin American mostly and they play in the Americas mostly. What the team needs is an Argentinian, Brazilian or Colombian coach. Klopp would just be a continuation of the same that hasn't really grown US soccer since Bora. That is the definition of insanity, to continue doing the same and obtaining a similar result. They want to hire Klopp, go ahead, I seriously doubt he will make a major headway. I don't care what his pedigree is, it won't work.

  5. We’ve made a rod for our own back with this stupid equal spend nonsense. Did it ever occur to anyone that the best men’s soccer coaches are going to cost more than the best women’s soccer coach? And theres nothing that can or should be done about it? The coach should hold out for what he’s worth

  6. If this were a club in the Premier League, you’d make Kloop an offer in a heartbeat. Instead the USMNT will repeat the same failures and expect different results. They’ll hire a manager who can’t find a club job in one of the big leagues in Europe.

  7. They expect us to rah rah the good ol’ USMNT team onto our guaranteed R16 elimination game as a host nation. nah you jaded old fools, the American public isn’t stupid when it comes to this sport anymore. They see the best soccer on a regular basis, they know their NT doesn’t play that brand of soccer, and until we see that brand of soccer. No one is going to care. I haven’t cared since Greg was first hired the first time, and I expect nothing until we have a quality coach that will keep these divas in check

  8. How important is soccer, or Men's soccer to the US? That's what the problem is here. You have 2 years and will be on display in front of the world. It's up to US Soccer.

  9. Who says Klopp is the perfect candidate, what happens if he comes to the US and the team doesn’t do any better? The players coming to the US have been at the end of their career, even Messi.

  10. With much respect to the women’s national team, the usmnt is not competing with them, they are competing with the englands, Germany’s other nations of the world. If we want to compete we need to match their pay. The women broke the bank in their respective world now the USmnt need to do the same
