US manager Jurgen Klinsmann shows his displeasure with multiple officiating decisions in his team’s 4-1 loss to Brazil, and declares that the US must be “nastier” in the future.

The USMNT could have been nastier in the Copa America in 2024…but we got Berhalter
Jurgen is just so down to earth ; so black and white but respect for his straight forwardness

A pathetic shameful performance by the US MNT, no excuses, 4-1 defeat is rape not a loss. Not only "nastier", these clowns gotta WIN, fuck!!!, when are we gonna stop cheering a single goal like a gold trophy and get what really matters > WIN A FIFA WORLD CUP !!? wake up America! I want the US MNT to be remembered for winning a Worldcup, A Confederations Cup, The Olympic Gold Medal in Soccer, etc not just being there and coming back home every time empty handed!! history doesnt remember losers
"
your problem in the us is that you need much better work with kids…..kids in the top soccer nations play 11 month a year…..its hard to catch up with the other nations for your kids when they become older.
you realy need to work on that first….i guess you will need to work constantly on that for about 10-20 years. than you maybe have a chance of winning a WC.
playing soccer is not like playing police of the world….you cant buy talent the same way you do it with weapons 🙂
at this moment i think that is not really viable as a goal/ambition . the fact that they got to the last 16 in the last WC is an achievement in which your efforts equals teams like England and Mexico
oh sorry i forgot…no one knows so much about football than you…..please forgive me………how could i forget that
you call this guy a coach hahahahahahahaha greetings from munich…he absolutely sucks
if Greg Popovich can say say "get nasty" to the Spurs then JK should be able to do the same!!!
Klinsmann is 'the man'- no doubt about it. I'm glad we have a strong leader like him in our ranks. Team USA is always trying to catch up to the bigger nations. We need a modern tough guy like this more than anything. Come'on now- anyone that knows world football knows what I'm saying.
he said be nastier and therefore he is scratching his butt 2:01
1:13 “But that’s what you’ve got to do,” were like drops of honey coming out of his mouth and, you can feel his passion and sincerity totally. He is one of the legends in Germany! We are honored to have him!
lol he was germany national coach and he just quit because his family is in the US many people meant that they have something to say … and with bayern münchen it was the same thing … he was the trainer and players were arguing about his decisions on TV or in the News Papers …if you are the trainer ..then you are responsible but also you have to be trusted and respected .. and i'm german bye the way …
I had my car towed today and felt just like Klinsmann did here.
0:53 you can see his temper it shows he's passionate & its true we need to get nastier tougher & more hard nosed
I think the US team played well and they had a some chanches to make goals but unfortunately they didnt make it. I think they need to be more confidence and not let themself get easily intimidate by big name teams, so they can play more relax and not get tense. I'm thrill to see the US team get better and better. Greet from Germany..
How can being nasty, tripping other players and making scenes with the referee be a real football team? The USA is anything but a dirty team and they've showed it in all their matches. Countries like the usa don't deserve to have a good football team and they try to make up for their lack of skill by being "nasty". Really? Really? They're also very cocky, shittalking european teams when they are in the easiest region of the world to qualify in. I'm dissapointed with this team…
He is right, those guys specially Donovan are too soft.
This should have more views because America should see what a passionate coach they have.
I like this guy. He loses andshows gut-wrenching anger and emotion instead of uttering politically correct platitudes.
he did not make the squad what is this Toloun Tournament u speak of never heard of it by the is mexico wins against brazil i will shut up even a draw and i will shut up but if they lose you shut up no what ifs or no mexico dominated score speaks loader
my prediction mexico 0-2 brazil by the mexico sucks and has no talent
England went 2011 unbeaten and still get a bunch of shit. US is miles behind. If US achieved that you'd be dancing on the rooftops but in England that's still not good enough.
Simon is right he's Getting mad ajajajajjaj that u get for working with no team that has skill!!! Brazil beat ur ass no just stop wineing !!
futbol 4 – soccer 1
That dude grezor2012 wrote an essay. Lol nice.
Well, The Netherlands already tried that kung fu nonsense in the World Cup Final and it was an ugly failure. The US team is good at the counter attack but needs to improve on their defensive shape. I know it was only a friendly but Brazil played at about 3/4 speed and had no problem breaching the American backline. In a real game in a real tournament this is going to be a problem for the U.S. unless they devise a better plan.
6. Jurgen Klinsmann is the right man for the job. This a judgment of the match against Scotland as well. For the first time in a long time the United States attacks. We score. We are creative. I can describe our team with words like "verve" and "intent" and "gusto." Klinsmann has activated all of his resources and gotten his players to embrace an entirely new ideology of soccer. I can't wait to see what's in store for the USMNT.
5. Oguchi Onyewu, whether returning from injury or not, doesn't have it. I hate to admit it, I really do. He was one of my favorite palyers for a long time. But with young talents like Omar Gonzalez and Geoff Cameron rising and impressing, I can't see Onyewu staying in the lineup certainly at Brazil 2014 or maybe even Gold Cup 2013. Bocanegra, on the other hand, looks as steady as ever.
4. Center midfield is not a problem. In fact, I think Klinsmann crowded and focused on the center too much and didn't utilize Donovan's and Johnson's speed. Aware that Dempsey was out of fitness and returning from groin injury, I would replace Maurice Edu with Dempsey. I am confident that Bradley and Jones can dictate and provide for the solidity that is needed to be agressive in the way that Klinsmann is advocating.
3. Klinsmann needs to explore new options for outside backs. I said Johnson was a great LB, which he is, but you've got to have a backup. I'm sure I'm not alone is saying Ed Castillo doesn't fit the bill. On the right, Cherundolo has played well for years and deserves respect and credit for his accomplishments, but as we saw, he lacks the speed for international soccer. But there are other options: Eric Lichaj (Aston Villa), Daniel Williams (Hoffenheim), Alfredo Morales (Borussia Dortmund).
STFU u animal
2. 4-1 scoreline does not tell the story. This game was even. U.S. had several fabulous chances cleared of the line or stopped by the goalie who had an uncharacteristically good game. Of cource Brazil had chances, but the last goal was indeed offside, and the penalty was a bad call for a few reasons: 1) the shot would have been off target had it not ben deflected; 2) Oguchi's arm was nto outstretched; 3) it was unintentional (he certainly had no time to move his arm out of the way).
Things to say about this game, in no particular order:
1. Fabian Johnson is a pwn. He is energetic, smart, inventive, active, and still forceful in defense. Klinsmann doesn't get enough credit for the players that he finds who are eligible to play for the United States. I see Johnson keeping the left back spot for years to come.
"…but that's what we gotta do." Sounded like the Terminator. This is a good thing for US soccer
"Gooch thinks it hit his stomach and he's outside the box on the penalty"…well, Gooch has serious nerve ending problems, and also severe vision problems, because replay shows the ball hit his outstreched arm and that he was about 4 yards inside the box, very clearly…..poor Gooch. He needs to see a Dr. fast….
oh haha
Excuses Excuses !! Just say what you really feel Klinnsi "I have no idea how to beat them" where did he get his info? Harsh penalty? Onyewu's arm was separate from his body the call was legit. Pato was not offside…THe players themselves were scared shitless period.
he didnt. he said the marcelos and the neymars.
Why you have to insult? Did not say it to make fun of USA. Just stating a fact. Never said they played bad.
We had some young players on too, dipshit…But the point is, even with all those young players, they could beat most national teams in the world…
first we got to get by the mex hondura canada jamaica and this game don`t count you`re playing for pride
I love how he singled out the "Marcelos" of the world.
The american team got their asses handed to them. It was a clear handball and no offside. Stop whining and play the god damn game.
exactly, why doesnt he cry about how dirty his own players started getting once it was 3-1. Bunch of hacking thugs
lol never heard so many excuses
Come on you really tho USA was gonna win? SIIKKKKKKKKKKE just bc they beat Spain the one time doesn't mean they gonna start beating other top teams LOL *troll face*
oh right, I could say the same about the US team, but we're talking about the butthurt fans here :p
Good game to Brazil, they finished and we should have, plain and simple. but this is why you play friendlies!
yeah like yall didnt have a couple of crybabies on the pitch last night
I was rooting for USA but that was a hand ball in first penalty as far as being outside the box I didn't notice if it was in or outside the box. Keep in mind this is an experimental phase USA is going though. Some passes were sloppy though the commentators said it was a 4-3-3 formation it looked more of a 4-4-2 at times. I hope USA learns from this game and grow from it.
