I think it’s important to situate it in the context of some of my fellow countryfolk unfortunately taking it personal and acting salty that he’s not playing in a British club. I think that’s deeply unfair and something that those countryfolk may in time live to regret feeling. There’s nothing wrong with Jude wanting to learn from the best European teams and find out how they do it, nothing wrong at all. If my fellow Brits think there is, then it’s their own tall poppy syndrome they need to look at, not anything that Jude’s doing to better himself and become a world-class player.

I'd disagree that Bellingham was blamed for not winning the Euros. I mean his late winner against Slovakia kept us in the competition. Any blame was largely put on Southgate for his tactics and failing to use Watkins and Palmer enough.
If there is a player that got criticism it was Kane who just wasn't firing on all cylinders. It just seems like theres this revisionist history over Bellingham during the Euros.
They do it as a pitch inspection and it’s an extra special way for them to take in the sight of a new stadium. Just get into your own bubble and zone before the chaos of the game starts
