  1. It’s crazy because the dude had good teams that were interested in him since he was at Villa. But I mean I can’t blame some footballers, you work your way up from nothing to provide for your family and live your dream, and some of the clubs in those leagues can offer you generational money.

  2. To say the Turkish league is a retirement home isn't showing great knowledge. Galatasaray are a genuinely giant club, with other sides in the league pretty competitive outside of the elite clubs in Europe.

    They're only really behind Portugal on European success as the league is arguably of higher overall quality, despite the Portuguese being regarded as one of the Big Five.

  3. He chose his own path. Could have been at a top 4 Prem side but chose the Saudi money. He got life-changing money, but ended his football career after leaving Villa
