  1. I’m born in Canada and am 60. My culture is soccer just as any Mexican who grew up with it. Jesse is talking like a main stream American. My father is Croatian and mother English. That’s a soccer background !

  2. Poch is a better club manager, but the international game is a different job, there's no time build a consistent tactical system. I think Marsch's qualities will shine in an Int'l role, he seems like a great communicator, building strong squad unity is the most important element for a national team.

  3. Canada will never be a top 10 soccer nation. I think hovering in the 20 to 30 range is where we belong. Maybe if they go on a hot streak they get to below 20 for a few months. That's the goal and I'm good with it.

  4. Marsh is a very underrated coach. He's learned this job from the ground up (Pochettino hasn't; he always coached teams with very strong players and had only moderate success with those teams), AND he has the ability to coach national teams. I've pointed out in countless comments that it's a completely different job than coaching a club team. And just to back up my opinion: I've coached a top-tier U19 team myself for 18 years. So I think I roughly know what I'm talking about.

  5. I'm not a fan of either, however I do think USSF dropped the ball and didn't hire Marsch. They wanted to make a splash with a bigger name though. I think Marsch is holding a chip on his shoulder for not being hired and that gives him an extra incentive

  6. Canada does not have the institutions to develop a top 10 national team simply because there is no Canadian professional league of first division. A few Canadian teams play in the US MLS

  7. Y’all really left Mexico for dead. Liga Mx has been improving a lot. The younger u20 players(and below) have been playing better than the older players, bringing in big names like James, and have been putting standards on foreigners that are bought (UCL or better/ 1000 minutes for South Americans).

  8. In High School in Beloit, Wi. we had a handful of soccer players that played hockey too, the same age as Jessie. There is a lot of overlap in the culture that possibly makes Jessie a very good fit to help the Canadian program. I think Jessie was very lucky to have been discarded by the U.S.

  9. I went to Texas Roadhouse, and I had to tip $137 on a $400 bill. It made me question how much these restaurant servers are making in a single week!? They have to be making over 3k!!!

  10. Jesse is NOT a TRAITOR because he went to Canada. Jesse IS a traitor because after he wasn’t hired for US he said he wants “nothing to do wit US” dude is weak, resentful and petty! Good riddance 😉 he is not built like US he is not missed by US They not like US 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
