  1. I am a liverpool supporter but I was saddened to hear John Barnes speak about what he faced. He said what hurt most is the players and the club never addressed it or confronted it when he played there. The banana throwing and racist chants were just ignored.

  2. Teams do not care about race, just revenue, Suarez provided revenue despite being a complete low life of a human so he was always backed, it’s easy to come out later and condone him when he isn’t bringing in the money sorry

  3. So… didnt say a thing about Suarez all this years, didnt say a thing when he was a player, and just says it not to virtue signaling, what an hypocritical person… what about when you open your car window and spit ppl in their faces, and u still got your job and terry and all of them still treat you as a friend still? YOU, as a player defended your team mate, remain silence up until now, but somehow Benfica and Benfica players have no excuse to stay behind his player!? PURE HYPOCRISY. MORE, WHAT HAPPENED IN THE BRITISH TEAM THAT A BLACK PLAYER SCORED A GOAL AND PPL DISREGARDED IT AND FOCUS ON THE ASSIST!? LITERALY RACISM YET CRICKETS FROM YOU AND ALL THAT PANEL… HYPOCRITES.

What was the punishment for the Tottenham goal keeper and enzo Fernandez WITH VIDEO EVIDENCE!? THEY BOTH ARE CAPTAINS IN THEIR BRITISH TEAMS … ZERO CONSEQUENCES AND I DIDNT SEE THIS OUTCRY ABOUT THEM AND ANY BACKLASH FROM THIS PANEL TOWARDS THE CLUBS OR BRITISH FEDERATION… AGAIN… HYPOCRITES.

  4. Can you guys notice something? Racism we all feel one way or another, it becomes a big thing when it happens to celebrities of this era.
Our lives are not worthwhile? Why would i raise my voice for someone who earn in millions and never raise voice for common folks ? Have no compassion for rich individuals. They could have make a difference but chose not too !! FcK elites and their problems
Sick and tired of hypocrisy of these people !!

  5. If people stop talking about it and get on with it it will go away, people will always be racist but how it offends people it will never stop unless you stop letting it bother u

  6. As a black man, hearing this gives me hope again. When people do the racism don't exist act, or get agitated by people pointing it out, I really get disheartened.

  7. Even now, if Carra was President of Liverpool and their player does what Suarez did, I actually don't think Carra would condemn his own player. It would ostracize his own player, the player may become angry or sad that his club wasn't "loyal" to him. It would deprive his club of a player and some of the teammates may also side with the player instead of the club. It may divide the club in two. You'd have white South Americans (like Uruguayans and Argentinians who think its ok to abuse black people) against the black players who want to stand up against racism.

Then the club would effectively lose millions in wages from their angry player and need to release him from his contract.

I think the best that we can hope for from any club president is to say Racism is wrong, that they don't think their player was being racist…but hopefully deal with it behind closed doors.

  8. So everyone here is crying about ALLEGED racism while simultaneously claiming he must be guilty because he's Argentinian? 🤦‍♂️

  9. As a United fan I must aplaud what he's said here. When it comes to it, if the boot was on the other foot, does anyone feel like Sir Alex Ferguson would have held his hands up and admitted one of his players were wrong, or would he have stuck up for his player?

  10. Jose was just wearing his clubs badge in this situation. He definitely isnt racist based on his affection for African Players. I hope the racist player gets a deserving punishment.

  11. I don't necessarily blame benfica or Mourinho. You form such a brotherhood in team sports like this, of course it's their first instinct to defend their guy. Especially if he comes out denying it. It's up to an independent body like uefa to actually deal with this, not benfica as a club.

  12. Recurring theme it seems from Argentinian players..Blatant racism but no action seems to ever get taken..Just look at what Enzo Fernandez did and he came back to Chelsea and was welcomed with open arms

  13. Most empathetic, human and rational response I've heard 👍 understanding the sentiments on both sides and not labelling people based on a response in the moment.

  14. The argument of, he’s covering his mouth so he definitely did it, is ridiculous. Players nowadays always cover their mouth, otherwise it would mean people are constantly saying horrible things after the match.

What you can argue is that others heard it, but covering his mouth doesn’t make you guilty.

  15. Benicar are a fuvking disgrace, Mpurinho has totally let.himself down. Amd the players should be banned for the entire season.

He should also be jailed for at least 2 to 6 months

  16. I was at the match evra was destroyed by suarez on the foootball field evra didnt know his left from his right hand who knows what was said only the two of them know
