  1. When you completely shake up a winning team, it will never work the same way as the previous one. When Szoboszlai and Mac Allister arrived at the club, Klopp’s team was not playing in the Champions League. However, the new players managed to integrate into the squad quickly and, although they didn’t win the league title (even though they came close), they did win the FA Cup. That already showed that a strong team was forming.

In the following season they even won the league with Slot (a new manager). The title wasn’t really about the coach – it was because by then the team had already developed strong chemistry.

Then came the bad decision from the club’s leadership: they completely dismantled the championship-winning team. As a result, the team dropped back to the level of the 2022/23 season, when it wasn’t yet ready to win trophies.

So it’s not the coach’s fault that they are where they are now. The reality is that a new team has been built with new players, and they still need time to develop chemistry.

Unfortunately, this season will likely be about building that cohesion, and there will probably be more changes in the summer as well. You should never make such massive changes to a team, because it simply won’t work. They could spend all the money in the world and it still wouldn’t fix that.

  2. Osimen is a problem for any team in Europe. I think he will be in the prem next season. Slott blames holding of jerseys? Is he kidding? Have you ever watched Van Djik during set pieces? Laughable

  3. Henry you are forgetting that hand goal you scored vs Ireland back in 2006, you were bum and won nothing in Europe so keep on crying, all that you won you owe it to Messi & Zidane

  4. Liverpool spent 200 and something net. Over 200M in outgoings. But let's just pretend Liverpool spent over 400M gross and only added to the squad.

  5. Carragher really exposed himself in just 4 words: "Galatasaray is not a great team." Everything after that was just 5 minutes of a man desperately trying to convince himself he's right. Classic small-minded punditry.

  6. I am gala fan , I live in USA , every time I watch this show I feel relentless hatred or racism against my team , funny thing as much as I love Henry I am also NY Red Bull fan by the way he played there couple of years as well , and carrigher dude no disrespect how many people does even know you ? And why broadcasters support only big teams ? Do you need champions league without broad range of teams all over the world ? I thought that was the beauty of football!
