  1. I have to admit as an avid Liverpool fan there where times at the beginning of the klopp era I thought hendo would not make it. How wrong was I. But this is why I am on the terraces and not in the dugout. 🤣 I am now proud to say that hendo is is our captain the backbone of the team , we are not the same with out him. We’ll done son you proved a lot of people wrong 👍👍

  2. I believe he's a better captain then Gerrard to be honest. He leads better players than he is. Gerrard was looked up to from rest off squad if that makes sense. Not a better player than Gerrard. I just mean captain

  3. The game against Barcelona, should of stopped any debate of how good Henderson was and why he is Captain of liverpool ,
When he comes on as a sub the whole energy of the team raises, that's not only with Liverpool but with England as well

  4. Being a Mackem I suppose I’m bias but he’s a credit to Liverpool Football Club and his family.
Through sheer will and determination he’s succeed in his aims.
Born only a few miles from Bob Paisley’s home village, both from the same mould.

  5. One of those players who doesn't make the headlines on the pitch but quietly goes about his business and is a pivitol cog in the gears that makes the team tick. Similar to Carrick for United, just one of those roles that goes under the radar.

  7. I have changed my opinion of Henderson over the years. Back when we were terrible, with terrible players(I am glad it is so long ago i have forgotten it).
When your down and out you don't need the most fancy or talented player. What you need is one or two professional players like Henderson, Milner (preferably in different positions).
What I mean by that is that
    1. They are fast enough to play at the top level.
    2. Have stamina like no other on the pitch
    3. Can makes passes at any stage of the game without fluffing them. (don't have to be fancy just the thing that makes games moving).
    4. Can help in defense, just little is enough
    5. Puts a good enough cross into the box here and there.

  8. When he doesn't play it always feels different to watch. Hendo deserves respect he deserves praise. His ability is good and he is a good player but what sets him apart is his attitude and passion, his love for the game, teammates and club. Yes he may not be Stevie G, but he sure as hell is a great captain and a vital part of the club. Very underrated.

  9. Klopp's biggest achievement is making henderson who he is today. i remember watching him playing for england, it looked like the guy was afraid to have the ball. he played the most simple passes – just getting rid of the ball really; and to have him, now, go toe to toe with the best, with the belief that he fully deserves to be where he is, is just something else. trust me on this – watch him before klopp came and watch him now… two worlds apart
