  1. Dele alli Will be one of the best midfielders in English history when his career is over he has the perfect manager in mourinho to develop him Into a top player. That tottenham team is a Mourinho team. They Will do well under him

  2. Call them selves pundits he already has changed position used to play defensive midfielder at MK Dons. He’s never played as ‘ second striker’ always been an attacking midfielder either side of the middle at spurs till this season. Do your homework jesus

  3. But it's crazy to think this guy's only 21/22 and already experienced, from championship,PL,Europa & CL to international,Euros and WC semifinals.

  4. Half of the players on that team need to leave to reach their full potential, rose-Kane-dele-ericksen-alderwerald-dembele-son even underrated sissoko all need to leave and go to bigger clubs (no disrespect).

  5. Him and Muller are the two known raumdeuters, 'space interpreters', both of them you can't really box them into one position or area of the pitch, they can play wide, CM, AM, CF etc.

  6. I finally see why Gary won't be a Manager. If he can't see that Della Alli can;t control a midfield then he has no chance Managing a team in Spain.

  7. even as an Arsenal fan I can admit that Spurs have 4 good players – Kane, Song, Lamela and Alli. Alli is class on the ball but I do think he's still a bit inconsistent. Give him a few years and he'll definitely level up from that tin pot club he's at now.

  8. As if these 2 hoofers were anywhere near Dele Alli's talent. They shouldn't even be allowed to talk about his boots. They should stick to discussing Milner, Henderson or any of the muppets at Utd. I couldn't think of two more unimaginative players if I tried (for a year solid) – how ironic they are pundits…

  9. I see what GNev is saying because Scholes was a second striker/no.10 when he started out but his football IQ and technique was that good he could play deeper. Delli Alli doesn't have the passing range or ability to dictate the game to play deeper but he can play as a second striker and maybe move to an attacking mid when he's older. Its not a bad thing, just means he wont play at the high level all his career. Gerrard was no good in a deeper role when he got older as he didn't have the football IQ to dictate the game but he was awesome as box to box/attacking mid. Lampard was the same but he never really played deep he was still a CM/attacking mid when he finished his career.

  10. This is the reason everyone loves Carragher and Neville as pundits. They are completely fair and unbias. Imagine Graham Soundess having this debate. He would be slating Ali for his discipline and temper and comparing him to the Liverpool players

  11. Dele has been playing much deeper the last two seasons especially when Eriksen isn’t playing. He’s been dropping back into midfield and controlling play a lot more

  12. I like Alli, but I think his ceiling is being as good as Lampard. He definitely isn't a CM because his passing isn't good enough. He's not a wide player because he lacks real pace. He fits best as a second striker. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying he's not a good player. He's actually very good linking up with players around him and is a decent dribbler. However, for a top team, he's not good enough at one specific thing to be a difference maker.

  13. At MK he played a free floating role behind a striker and was phenomenal I know it's not near the level of the prem but give him a constant role there and he can score you 15/20 goals a year, feel he might never get that at spurs tho

  14. Alli is a shadow striker. Like Müller or Mkhitaryan was for Dortmund. The duties of a 9 and a 10. Steven Gerrard had a similar role for Liverpool whilst Torres' was at the club. He Alli is not a Lampard, Scholes, or Keane. 1 was a midfielder with liscence to roam forward, another was a playmaker and Keane was a bastard to play against. Alli is none of them.
