wasn't Gattuso a bit of a troublemaker as a player? near the line between physical and dirty? or am I thinking of someone else or having a controversial view; I don't follow Italy national team and was surprised today to hear Gattuso is now coach; I have wonderful memories of watching creative players like Marco Tardelli (1978 maybe?) and Andrea Pirlo. This result allowed Switzerland to top Group C, forcing Italy into the playoffs… how did that work out?

I watched Gennaro Gattuso’s press conference. The guy’s breathing was so heavy, the room could feel it. It sounded to me, he was seconds away from an infarto/heart attack. May God save us, and may our spoiled kids put in a great performance. The Irish won’t give us anything for free.

Marco, Chiesa and Esposito are the only real talent Italy have, they should be starters 100%. When Italy won the world cup, Grosso wasn't a starter, same as Camoranesi, Materazzi nor Perrotta and they all became key elements into winning the tournament. You don't play the big names, you play the TALENT
