  1. Bosnia dominated them. It's time to realize that Italy is not a big soccer nation anymore. Seria A is miles behind German, French and even Portuguese league now.

  2. The fact the likes of Scotland, Haiti & Curaco qualfied litreally shows how very bad Italy is.

Italy are going the same way as Hungary did in the 60s

  3. Gattuso is an incompetent coach. Even; f Italy is going to win. He never understood much about players and field tactic. He was an aggressive almost violent difender for the italian team, with no class or stile, but from that to name him national coach, it is the biggest idiocy ever done. I guess it is all money talk, if somebody had the time and will to dig everything up about him and publicly display it, it would be good for the furure of the team.

  4. As an Italian (not Italo-American, Italian), i must comment on this content.
The main problem in Italy is not that noone wants to learn from others. The problem is that italian football is lead by dinosaurs who oppose change! Everyone else would love to see the changes needed, but the people in charge don't. That's all.
Also, stop using the "we". It's ridiculous (I don't use it myself). "We" just talk about the games and watch them. "We" didn't not qualify the past two times, "we" watched the games and were frustrated or sad or both. Tonight "we" don't play a game. "We" watch in on TV, nervous and participating emotionally. But nothing more.

  5. Gattuso wasn't his first choice… Give please one name available at the moment if even ranieri turned it down. And I'm sorry I never heard more negative analysis about Italy than in this channel. You just keep repeating the same story.. Italy could have scored 4/5 goals against N.ireleand

  6. It's the Italian Federation that have failed Italian football. The talent and desire is there. That 1994 Italy side that made it to the final against Brazil was mostly domestic talent.

  7. Italy struggle to score goals and win games because Italian players have been coached to play sterile, non-risk possession football. There are more sideways and backwards passes in 5 minutes than in 90 minutes of any given Premier, La Liga or Bundesliga game. Watch the game tonight and you will notice no Italian dribbles or runs forward with the ball – that skill has been drummed out of each and every player by Serie A coaches.

  8. Italy has not had a lack of talents guys. They've had extremely terrible Football Federation and Serie A clubs without ambition and interest to improve Italian football.
I promise you if Yamal and Lennart for instance were in Serie A, they would be wasting away and would have never seen what they are capable of. And the fans will continue to cheer on the clubs while missing the big picture.

  9. Uhhh… "ran away from their roots and didn't adapt to the times" is a complete contradiction. To adapt to the times they'd have to move away from Italy's roots. And to stick with their roots is suicide because of how much offensive tactics have evolved. Pick one.
