Lorenzo Pellegrini scored in the 70th minute for Italy and Joshua Kimmich followed with a goal in the 73rd minute for Germany. Matteo Politano exited in the 65th minute with an injury for Italy.

Similar to the Turkey game where Mancini put in a lot of new players (some of them Italy National team C players) BUT nevertheless when you put in younger and hungry players like this you are going to get a decent result.
One comment…everyone talking about the Argentina game and this and that….just keep in mind that crazy Mancini literally put on the field 9 players who should not be starting or even on the national team…Argentina easily winning that game is NOT A BIG DEAL…a very similar lineup lost 1-0 to Macedonia AT HOME….so why is a 3-0 Argentina win on a neutral field such an incredible result? If you put garbage on the field your going to get garbage results

Crazy what happens when you put in young players thirsty for success. I think Mancini should mix some of these young guns in with some veterans like Barella, Verratti, Chiesa, Locatelli, and Spinazzola. That squad would be immense
Germany and Italy are two team in decline. Mancini finally decided to put some fresh blood into this squad frankly speaking Bonucci, Chiellini and anyone else over 30 by now should watch the game on TV. Mancini stubbornness to play with the same module and same tired burn out players (Immobile above all) costed him the qualification hopefully he has learned from his mistakes.

This is exactly what Mancini should've done back in March. Put in young guys who are hungry enough to win possession and move forward to score. His tactics have also become predictable so he understands that things really need to change. I hope he continues with a team at least somewhat similar to this. Honestly, Jorginho, Belotti, Immobile, Bonucci, and Insigne (if he doesn't improve) all need to go. Make room for the future…
