Should have asked it after today.
Under Arteta, we all know Arsenal play slow, controlled, possession football.
That doesn’t really suit players like Viktor Gyökeres (or even Erling Haaland), who need space, tempo and lots of chances.
Gyökeres is OK in Arsenal, but can be very good in the right team/system.
In my opinion, he fits better in more direct teams like Manchester United or Newcastle United.
For Arsenal, I’d rather see a more technical, mobile striker, someone like Alexander Isak.
So for me, it’s not about quality, it’s all about whether the system actually suits the player, and vice versa.
No, he’s not top shelf of the likes of Benzema or Ronaldo clearly, but he can contribute in a meaningful way. I wonder why Arsenal didn’t go for Osimeh instead.
Arsenal are bad not Gyökores take out Saka and the scores comes he dont pass.
Start by giving him the ball… Isn't it?
😂😂😂 the question is: is Arsenal good enough to help Goykeres to reach a UCL final?
Troy is an arsenal hater right through to the bone marrow, and bcs he’s english he’s on these american shows talking bollocks as if he’s competed at the top of the highest level when he hasn’t
Would just like to put it out there, that odegaard has not registered a single assist for gyokeres all season, your numbers as a striker will not be super high if you’re getting no service
to the current market, gyokeres was very cheap, i dont understand what these guys understand as big money sinning.
Do you think they plan these terrible takes in advance or just bring them up off the cuff?
For crying out loud. He made tons of runs yesterday and yet NEVER gets passed. What is he supposed to do? Arsenal barely cross the ball. Its just sideways and backward. As an Arsenal supporter Im loving the results but this is haram football and Gyökeres is a victim of it. Look at the run and the cross he made to Ödegaard. Hes got pace and power, thats why he was brought in but its not utilized at all here and its bloody sad honestly.
The disrespect is crazy.. goals against Leeds? Vik scored against Inter( the best team in Italy), goals and assists against Chelsea, Spurs , Everton and 3 goals against Atleti in his first season and people are saying he’s not good enough? Well
Arsenal just needs to put more players in opposition half when they play gyokeres. It's just arteta doesn't get it
Yh sure. Lets start Troy in this team! He'll bring it home!
Sesko looks better footballer than yokerees
18 goals this season.. the disrespect is crazy!
He’s scored 19 goals this season for a team that barely makes chances for him
yes, he'd improve if his team mates gave him the ball once in a while. not sure i've seen saka put in a cross for him once.
I watched the PSG VS Bayern game last night and I legit forgot Arsenal were even playing tonight…..that’s how boring their football is.
Dead players like Troy & whoever that is in the middle talking about a player who’s part of a team that can with a huge double that they could never dream of.
Lmao hes scored against loads of big teams
I don't know if Gyokeres is not good enough, or Arteta is not good enough to get the best out him. Just look at Eze, he looks like a shadow of the player ARS signed from CRY.
Looser in football becomes pundits apart from few like henrry and owen .
Who is this idiot talking about Arsenal playing low block? Has he ever played Champions League Semi finals? You are playing Athletico Madrid at Home, and we are expecting Arsenal to be naive and play wide open? These guys were 2nd rate players during their careers, non on them won a Trophy but wanna tell us how to win a Trophy?? Puleeze
Who did Chelsea have when they beat man city in 2021? Giroud was on the bench, Werner wasn’t impressive, and Havertz played as a midfielder. Havertz has a knack for scoring big goals but it’s not an absolute imperative to have a world class striker to win the champions league. That said, it would help Arsenal to get a striker like Haaland so they can play more slick attacking football
Both Arsenal and Atleti fighting for 2nd place
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Gyökeres world class
People overestimate the portuguese league, it's pathetic, most teams are either second on third division of the top leagues level. That's why you see mediocre players like Gyökeres, Darwin and Felix being stars there, and fail in the Premier League.
I feel like the next match be 2-2 until the last minute and they sub out gyokeres and put in havertz for him to score and win it for arsenal to lead them to the final
I think he needs more time
