  1. judging by the quality of the football, yes absolutely, IMO the Barcelona team that beat Real Madrid 5-0 is the best ever, and then there are the trophies ! i think two managers have more, but those include scottish cups and championships, ukrainian cups and championships and other minor titles, so of course he is the best manager ever, and one of the most influential, just after Johan Cruijff and Rinus Michiels who started all this

  2. To add more context, Spain won their World Cup with a majority of Barcelona players under Guardiola. It was tiki-taka all the way. But most notably, Germany won the 2014 World Cup playing in a way they had never played before… tiki-taka, precisely when Pep was a Bayern coach. I remember being so surprised watching Germany play in a way they had never played. Clearly Pep's influence transcends club football.

  3. I believe he is the best, yes.

    – He is 54 years old and has won more silverware than any other manager in history except SAF.

    – The overall influence he has on football in terms of philosophy and styles can be compared only to Michels and Cruyff.

  4. Pep creates best teams. You can have best players but can you make them the best team? Tactics and style he has no competition. Alex also had the best players in his teams. Compare him to Wenger in spending. No player cost 50 million then until United paid that fee for a defender. That amount now is nothing at the moment.

  5. Those people who said pep is a cheater and use city oil money, imagine if guardiola is not really good enough and not capable to win anything, even with the cheat code and money, he cant reach this.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, chelsea manager in Guardiola PL Era still cant match his success even they also spend hundred million.

We need to admit Pep Guardiola is a genius, very good, a legend and always hunger for throphy.

  6. I’m not saying he’s NOT great. But he’s been given the best teams, with the best players, at the best clubs. Could he have won the prem with Leicester, could he have take Atalanta to consecutive top 4 finishes with a Europa Title, could he have won the treble with Inter or Champions league with Porto. I’m not so sure…

  7. Guardiola has not won a single title that can be considered clean. Well, maybe one in Germany — a league title. But the rest of his trophies are tainted.
In Spain, why? Because the institution paid the director of referees.
And in England? Because of the more than one hundred cases of violations of financial fair play.
Therefore, the only record Guardiola truly holds is in winning titles stained by cheating and corruption.

  8. He's the greatest of all time, and his competition for that title SAF he comprehensively schooled if not embarrassed twice not in any regular games but in 2 UCL Finals. His teams play the best football, his teams win the most matches over the course of a season hence why anywhere he goes the Point totals for winning a League title rise. He's come to England and has been more dominant than SAF, he's given us an array of different tactics and versions of his teams, fluid attacking football with fast wingers?? False 9 with inverted fullbacks leading to the most possession-dominant team ever, and lastly traded all that in for a Team with the Ultimate No. 9. He's literally done it all in a significantly shorter space of time, you keep saying he's had the best teams, remind me who won the first ever PL Title?? And would go on to win 7 out of the first 10?? As far as coaching a set of players go Pep is in his own League, that's why when his coached world-class Barcelona players came up against Man Utd's self-proclaimed "we had no tactics" World class players it was night & day.
