  1. City’s greatest ever player and he’s in the top 3 premier league players. If David Silva played for Barcelona people would of classed him as good as xavi and iniesta. This guy was so good, if your a city fan and watch them every week you will understand how good this guy was for us. City we’re a completely different team when he wasn’t playing. So intelligent, controlled the tempo of the game, always in the pockets. Always made the right decisions. I don’t think I ever saw him have a bad game. Would love to re live them ten years he had at city to watch him all over again!

  2. The Man City fans couldn't find a better name "The Magician". He is unassuming, unpretentious and silent but tremendously efficient with his vision of the game.

  3. I have been watching football for along time and I haven't seen him have a bad game. He has been consistently word class for years and years. As a fan from a rival club it always gave me huge pain whenever I saw this guy operating that midfield.

  4. David Silva is purely charismatic in the field. What a football persona he is , It's difficult to take way your eyes from him when he is playing.
Yes, I do think he is underrated not only in EPL but world football also.

  5. David silva is similar to drew brees in the nfl.drew brees hold so many records but still not considered in the top 10 great nfl qb. David silva is very good, very efficient, almost magical sometimes but sadly underappreciated. Just like drew brees.

  6. If David silva played for Manchester Utd he would be the worlds best but because he's at city no one is interested but this legend would piss cantona and beckham off the pitch with ease 😉

  7. Without a doubt the best player I've ever seen in a City shirt, and for me he's one of the top three midfielders in the Premiership ever – and to answer Phil Neville's question about why David Silva has never been in team of the year, the answer is simple – he plays for Man City. Whether people like it or not, City are hated – they spoilt the hierarchy, the top four and put the FA's noses out of place and they didn't like that

It is an absolute disgrace that Scott Parker won player of the year ahead of David Silva, and is the reason why English football will never see any success – workmanlike, defensive footballers like Parker, Kante etc are heralded while this guy is underrated – honestly, it's ridiculous

I speak to my Dad and his friends who've been watching City for 50 odd years and they all say, without question, Silva is the best they've seen (and my Dad loved watching Colin Bell)

Also, 8 seasons for Silva, Aguero, Kompany – not bad for mercenaries eh??

  8. I think, at one point, Phil Neville was trying to say that David Silva was like the Dude Lebowski's rug, which, he said, 'tied the room together ….'

  9. I am just gunna go ahead and say it , I think David silva is the best midfielder the premier league has ever witnessed , he has been making the difference in big games since he joined shitty and he also was the first to bring real tiki taka football to England well before guardiola came here which silva deserves huge credit for , I don't think guardiola has done anything special other than that he recognises being a ex Barcelona player/coach how to get the best out of a David silva type player by slotting him in a 3 man midfield and making him work harder than ever before , he is now almost having the same effect that iniesta had for Barcelona and he's making them tick more the ever before. I am a Manchester United fan by the way.
