  1. I'm a Liverpool supporter and i don't believe Laporte is the reason for there losses. Without Aguero City aren't as potent threat, Leroy Sane was a massive loss. Sterling has be dreadful, if Marhez was out of form City wouldn't have goals as much. Putting goals behind City was never really a problem for any team if a team put 1 or even 2 in City would put 5 which made their defense look solid. Laporte has made a difference yes but when there front 3 cant find the net. City struggle and have no plan B.

  2. It's pretty simple – at this level it's mostly psychological. They've won the league countless times. Let's see what they do in the CL before we judge. It's hard to stay motivated when you've been #1 for so long.

  3. I'm a liverpool fan but I cant believe that Mahrez has been playing on the left when Bernardo Silva was very close to being player of the year last season in that position. They need a player like Koulibaly in the summer and they wont be far away.

  4. If Liverpool win 6 more games, they win the league. This ‘challenge’ doesn’t exist anymore. Liverpool could lose the next 7 games, win the last 6 and get it done. And that’s assuming that City win all 13 of their last games. Not happening

  5. LOL closing the gap?! City will be lucky if liverpool are not champions by March 22nd.
City have to get through Leicester, ManU, and Chelsea in that time frame.
For every game City loses Liverpool are a week closer to becoming Champions.

  6. Liverpool haven’t won as many PL titles as Blackburn Rovers. They’re doing well this season and at their peak, but lets not get carried away.

  7. I'm pretty sure Pep has given up on chasing Liverpool. I think he's focused now on getting second place. He'll be planning ahead to other cups and worry about the Premier League next season

  8. In a word no! You can't deny what Liverpool have done is incredible this season but they can't keep this up for years, it's simply not possible. City will just spend a ton of money in the summer & there's every chance they'll be on top again next season but it'll be one hell of a dog fight! I think City burnt themselves out beating Liverpool last season as previously being so far ahead of everyone else, they've never been under that kind of sustained pressure before. Plus they lost their best & most influential centre back & their next best one picked up a long term injury early on. I also think City have also shown a psychological weakness this season. They just didn't seem to have the mental fortitude for the fight this time around but this will toughen them up & make them stronger next time. Bring it on!

  9. I love that 12 months ago this was the greatest football team the PL has ever seen ! They go splash another 200million and loose a center back and fall to pieces 22 point behind Liverpool but if United did it they would be murder by the media !!!

  10. LFC fan here. City are a great side, on there day they play better football than us. But, they have peaked all teams do that. They have defensive problems since Kompany left and there present side will slowly but gloriously decline (they will still win a couple of trophy's) Champions League, no. this City team does not have it. By the way, l do not think we will win it either, but l am talking about a team that is not at there peak. We will have the same issues in 2 years time.

  11. City is still best team on paper but after winning all domestic cups last season their desire and hunger has died down. The run they had last season must have left them drained. 4 good buys will make them great again

  12. Citeh ain't winning the CL . They are far more likely to go out this next round to real Madrid. They are increasingly unlikely to win the FA cup as it looks like LIV will now get to the late rounds and stand there in the Qf, sf, or F as a huge road block.

  13. What a stupid question. Fact if Liverpool win 6 more games they win the league. So there’s no challenge even if Pepe pushes City to win ever game till then end of the season it’s out of City’s hands
