Let’s not completely forget how masterful Inter were in the two legs vs Bayern. Tough to compete when the third name on the team sheet is injured (Thuram). One thing that is confusing is the fatigue though with the formation they play it’s surprising that players like dimarco, barella, etc are clearly fatigued despite being under 30 yrs old.
They keep saying, “inter looks devoid of ideas” but inter have never been about creativity. They basically run smart, high percentage plays over and over. If it works, they look solid and professional. If it doesn’t work, they look dull and “devoid of ideas”. Really they’re just married to a process which is what you do when you value consistency above all else.
The treble is gone! Only team to blame, if Inter does not win the CL or Scudetto is Inter. Inter last season was old and down to the end of the season the players looked exhausted because they have a bench but the difference between their bench and starting lineup is massive. Inter are also broke 900 million euros in debt. That is why they are always looking for free agents and willing to pay high salaries because 13×4 with a player at the end of their career is equivalent to a contract.
Morotta knows that he needed to reinforce this team properly and should have done that come January, but even if he did there is no guarantee that those players would be able to gel in the system that Inter plays.
Inter just lost to Roma and now sits 3 points below Napoli. Now they have to play a Barcelona that is clicking on all cylinders with young players who are deadset on a treble and unlike inter won the copa del rey.
The question now is, will the media judge Inter like they do to Milan when they have failed to get a trophy all season yet sit in 2nd place and made the CL semis. Because Milan was in that position last season and they absolutely crucified Milan for it.
As a Barca Fan 😂 I would like to humbly request everyone not to over-hype my team please 🙏🏻 we have to stay humble, massive respect for Inter the history they have and what they have been doing this season is impressive 😮❤ so only time is gonna tell what’s gonna happen next.
And here I thought only we Italians were so easy at blaming the defeat only down to low-performing refs.
Plus, seriously? That was a clear penalty? Cause I do remember the same “foul” on Giroud during a derby and yet no penalty because that’s barely a “body check”.
If we allow this BS to be called a penalty then let’s change sport, let’s play basketball or ballet… and prepare to see 30 penalties in each match.

Lets be honest for a sec. How overrated is Barcelona? A team that concedes goals for fun, a fairly young and inexperienced side. Yes, Inter have poor form and probably a bit fatigued. But. No matter how important the Serie A is, their focus have been on the UCL. Unintentionally or intentionally. In UCL you need the experience which Inter have. Inter are as underrated as Barcelona is overrated. Barca defensively is a JOKE!

If Inter keeps playing down to competition in Serie A (and losing) then they will have to play up to Barcelona to win… they haven't shown they can do that as of late. Barca has shown they can play through tired legs and injuries, will Inter prove they can do that too??
To me, Inter is very likely going to be trophyless this season with current form. 3 consecutive defeats and Pavard and Thuram out injured. The biggest problem is 1) too tired 2) no answer if behind 3) management team made mistakes in the transfer windows. I agree with Grella inter already done what they can with the budget

Im inter fan. But its clear. Very clear that inter has never been completeley in form. They have a hard time scoring and a hard time defending. Inter needs players in form that have the feeling to score. Lautaro and thuram are the only two scoring and they arent consisstent. And the full backs (except dumfries) are very bad defenders.
