Inter have decided to appoint former Parma manager Christian Chivu as their new manager after Simeone Inzaghi’s departure to Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal. Chivu was a former player for Inter, winning the treble with them under Jose Mourinho in 2010.

Can someone explain why Inter didn’t go for Roberto Mancini? Idk if it’s just me but even a push for Matthias Jaissle would’ve been better if possible, no? Does anyone think Sebastien Pocognoli would’ve been better than Cristian Chivu?

Chivu bleeds black and blue, he will hopefully do fine but hes thrown in at the deep end. There wasn't many top managers available and easy to get in short period of time.
2:40 they didn't change/replace Inzaghi with Chivu. Inzaghi left as he got a better offer, and the club knew about that offer before the UCL final. So they had to act fast.
2:12 13 games, but during his spell, he basically played against the strongest teams from Serie A, and he managed to get some really good results, many of which were draws, eventually avoiding relegation for Parma – one of the worst teams in Seria A during this season. He managed put together a tactic that worked, and build up the team's morale (they came back from 2-0 with Atalanta, and won 2-3)

Inter Milan's failure to win either the champions league or serie A last season is not from their coach, rather they need to get rid of many aged players.
