    Bayern has lost steam because its mainstays (Musiala, Davies) are back. Bayern has too much depth, and that can be a problem. Before Musiala and Davies the team was killing it. Kompany has too many variations to work with, he needs to just go back to what worked before. The nucleus of the team Ta, Upamecano, Laimer, Pavlovic, Kimmich, Diaz, Olise, Kane, Gnabry, Karl and one other (Davies is back and I think he is the only one with an almost certain place). That nucleus worked, it was the unbeaten team. We love Musiala, we think he has a guaranteed place but honestly, it wasn't broke before he came back, so don't try fixing it, I'd keep him benched and run with that. Ito, Stanisic, Kim, Jackson and so many more are there can come on.

    Players need to get this need to be starters off their minds, coaches need let players know that it doesn't matter whether you start or not, it's a team and you play your part the best way you can. I remember the days Seedorf (one of the greatest to ever play the sport) came on as a sub in multiple appearances, never seemed to bother him, he did his part because maybe the strategy at the time suited that.

    I was Kompany, I would keep the side as it was before Musiala and Davies came back because it worked. Yes, we love them and we instinctively and emotionally feel they deserve a starting place automatically, but it can be hard mentally after such serious injuries to adapt right away and that can cost the team. Kompany did slowly start to bring them back as subs but I think the level of play especially after the draw with Hamburger and the defeat to Augsburg Bayern is at the start of a possible slump that can cost them the Champion's League and the Bundesliga especially if Dortmund doesn't let up which they don't seem to plan to do for the league.
