  1. My favourite player of all time. I still remember that England game… he single handedly turned the screws… his goal was stunning. Even Seaman was stunned beyond belief. His move from Barca to Madrid also demonstrated iron balls.

  2. Great player Figo. Ballon d'Or winner & one of the five best players across 1999-06. My personal favourite Portuguese player was Paulo Futre. Best Portuguese dribbler of a ball. Left- footed & dribbled like a European version of Diego Maradona.

  3. People don’t give enough credit to Joao pinto which only left once to play in Spain I think not for long but he was on the level of figo and Rui Costa he was the best player for years in the Portuguese league absolutely class scored goals in any kind of way and assisted like crazy

  4. When he was starting to play they were probably drinking wine, and eating salted pork during training in Portugal. They had to share the practice field with the vacas. The team bus was a cart pulled by cow.

  5. at of all our legends Eusebio and this man were the ones to shake me the most .what a player !! always gave everything for Portugal. he and our President Rui Costa..were sublime *president of Benfica not Portugal.more important !!!
