Inside Ghana’s Premier League Fan Culture!

Once again, we’re going international, as we travel thousands of miles to get amongst some more global Premier League scenes. This time we’re in the home of Essien, Kudus and the Ayew’s as we fly out to Ghana, from visiting the Villa-mad Ghana lions in Juaben to catching a slice of South London with the Palace faithful in Accra, and stopping off at the Guinness Matchday event to watch the weekend’s big matches with a vibrant and loud crowd.

  1. Glory!!! After so much struggles I now own a new house with an influx of $175,000.00 every month God has kept to his words,my family is happy again everything is finally falling into place. God bless America.

  2. anyone ever thought about the business behind these kind of pieces? theyve flown out a presenter and camera crew thousands of miles for a vid thats gonna get like 5k views. guaranteed financial loss surely? im glad they do it but i've no idea why

  3. obv the non woke crowd (of which i dont think im a part of but generally align with) will strop over this but its actually proper cool. how does a pub in accra go crazy for a club in birmingham? thats objectively really interesting

dont necessarily know why but i find it similar to the 'cult hero' feeling from okocha/beattie/juninho type players but at the scale of entire nations. maybe cos its interesting and personal sub stories within monotonous big 6 coverage
