Thank god it never happened and if it ever does come close again in the future all those clubs should be hit with massive fines and a points deduction 😂 possibly made to start in there lower leagues. Football is for the fans these clubs could not survive without the fans. Ask any player in the prem or the other leagues!!!! Same teams ever year play in a different style of champions league. UEFA and fifa would never allow it so we are safe for now but get those who signed up for it kicked out champions league for a year

Thats a little bit rich coming from sky, the prices that the pay for customers to watch the premier is beyond ridiculous and all of a sudden they wanted to come out all of them and act as if they care so much for the fans, while all those employees gain so much comfort from getting to go into a great invironment getting paid a lot of money their were so many people at around that time suffering with huge costs and covid. Why can't sky charge the prices like netflix Disney plus prime video and now tv entertainment and cinema. and the premier league need to be more efficient with the fixtures as well. It's all well and good for Gary Neville and jamie Caragher wanting the super league to go away but at the end of the day, they should have gone behind the scense and pressured sky to lower their sports prices if they really did care that much for the fans

Back here 2 years later and glad this didn't go ahead. I'm a Liverpool fan and we play europa league football this coming season because we deserve to. A closed shop, american style sports league is not the answer. Football's competitive nature is what makes it special.

Initially I liked the idea, I wanted to see more European games. Now, upon reflecting on how it would affect smaller clubs, the backbone of our leagues, it’s just monstrous.

I've watched and rewatched this several times. The way the whole football community came together, rivalries disappeared, there was one voice made my heart swell with pride. I'm a gooner and the wife a Chelsea supporter. We went down to the Bridge and when that announcement that Chelsea had left the place erupted, hugs, kisses, cheering. Even the police were clapping and celebrating with us. A real monumental moment!
Most fans think it'll take them out of domestic leagues, tell spurs arsenal n utd fans you'll be in Europe's elite competition every year then you'll see if they like it….
