VAR officials need to be detached from the referees. There needs to be a new independent body that cares about nothing but accountability and assisting the refs to do the job properly.
The problem is that they're all refs. They're all coworkers. Walking on eggshells not wanting to step on each other's toes.
The technology was never the issue. The humans, as usual, are.
THE SAME EXACT INSTANCE. IN THE SAME COMPETITION. 3 YEARS IN A ROW. And what did they do? They flip flopped. It's not a handball against Arsenal when they played Bayern. The following year, the pen is called against Villa. Then the following year it isnt called against Atl Madrid. INCOMPETENCE!!!!
NHL are more consistent with their camera reviews, and that was before soccer decided to introduce and use VAR video cameras.
this ref was actually blind to oversee this red card situation…
The problem with VAR is that, they have teams their eye is focused on, like they love or hates the team
That's the reason for the inconsistent
never a red
Just like the champions league calls yesterday, VAR comes in only when it feels like it, tbh tho yesterday prob just fell asleep watching haram ball so fairs
Like Porto two weeks ago, VAR stepped in and made a good call
