He has a point. Wenger was sacked by Monaco and did a stint in Japan with decent results. Then, all of a sudden, he took the helm of Arsenal. He had no real credible resume to lead a Premier League team, but eventually, he was able to prove his worth by having an eye for French talent. TiTi, Viera, Petit, Pires, so many gems that Wenger pulled out of nowhere.
I hate the phrase” what I’m trying to say” you are already tarnishing legendary image of Ian Wright because what was said at that time? I am disappointed in you today. I take you and Ian as Arsenal’s greatest but to you to talk about I an Wright in that way is demeaning.

Postecoglu had a very similar trajectory, winning in Japanese Leagues then transferring to North London. Sadly for me as a Spurs fan I don’t think he’ll quite have the impact on us the way Wenger did back then: the game has changed.
