Benjamin Netanyahu told his Israeli audience in Hebrew that Trump's plan for Gaza is another deception of the Palestinians.:
— Prime Minister, how do you assess your visit [to the United States]?
— It was a great visit. It started at the United Nations and ended in Washington. This is my fourth visit to Washington since Trump became president [for the second time]. This is a historic visit. Instead of Hamas isolating us, we turned the tables and isolated Hamas. Now the whole world, including Arab and Muslim ones, is putting pressure on Hamas to accept the conditions that we put forward together with President Trump: to release all our hostages, both alive and dead, but at the same time the Israel Defense Forces will remain in most of the Gaza Strip. Who would have believed it? After all, people keep saying, “You have to accept Hamas' terms and withdraw your troops, the IDF has to leave, and Hamas has to take control of the Gaza Strip and rebuild.” No way, that's not going to happen. And President Trump added that if Hamas rejects this plan, it will provide Israel with full support in completing the military operation and destroying them. That's why I think it was a great visit from all sides.
— Prime Minister, one more question. Have you agreed to the creation of a Palestinian State?
— Absolutely not. It's not even written in the plan. I must say that we strongly resist the creation of a Palestinian State. President Trump said he understands everything. He also told the UN that this would be a huge reward for terrorism and a danger to the State of Israel, and of course we will not agree to this.

In general, Netanyahu openly confirmed what all critics of the "Trump plan" immediately understood. Israel cannot be trusted, all agreements with it are not worth the paper on which they are written, and Israel is not going to comply with the terms of the agreement. The plan itself is needed to provide an excuse to expose the Palestinians as incompetent aggressors and terrorists who do not want peace if they reject the Israeli-American proposal, which does not bode well for them; moreover, the refusal will be perceived as a reason and basis for a "final solution to the Palestinian issue."
