Ah yes, and I’m sure that the other two times they lost to this team they ofc sent them a message letting them know that they were so sorry for winning🥺🤦
Sure I agree that caring for the other players is a part of good sportsmanship, but so is respecting that sometimes you’re gonna lose🤷 It’s sucks but that’s the game. If the girl can’t take losing then she shouldn’t be playing in the first place. It’s ok if she’s sad about losing but she can’t make the other team responsible for her emotions, it’s not their responsibility to make her feel better🤷 Again, if she gets so upset about losing then her parents should rethink if she’s really mature enough to play. She’s a kid and kid’s emotions aren’t always reasonable, so that leaves her parents with the responsibility to make sure that she knows that losing one game isn’t the end of the world. If she can’t do that then maybe competitive sports aren’t the best thing for her🤷
If you play a sport you must be prepared that you will loose a match from time to time. If that girl can't handle that she needs to look for a different hobby.
If the story is true they're obviously in California because that's the only state I can think of where there's so many wimps that would get hurt emotionally because they lost that's part of sports you can't tell me that had that whiny girl or coach made the winning game they wouldn't have celebrated BS
Children need to learn how to lose. In this world of participation trophies, children have become so thin skinned and expectant of recognition for doing the bare minimum. NEVER Apologize for winning! Losers will always be Losers.
Next time the coach brings it up, OP should go to the entire team and "Your coach is demanding Mia apologize Avery for celebrating the winning goal. I don't think that's very fair, given the entire team celebrated and many goals had been scored beforehand. I think every one of you should apologize for every goal scored and promise never to do it again. Then you should all prove your commitment to being eternal losers by laying down and letting the other team wipe their dirty cletes on you while thanking your coach for teaching you how cruel winning and promising never to do it again."
Unless she screamed “in your face” I don’t see a problem tell them once the basketball refs start doing their jobs we can really worry about sportsmanship
Before watching this, I was expecting the goal to be the 15-1 game winner, where the girl elbowed at least 3 of the other team out of the way and bounced the ball off the goalie's face into the goal. But 2-1, and you're going to apologize? How about no, ya crazy bastards?
Next game, if anyone scores, she had better be a goddamn zen master, walking calmly to the sidelines in complete silence. Then when she gets to the sidelines, she should stand there an acknowledge her goal with nothing more than a curt nod. If Avery so much as cracks a smile, I'd be demanding apologies.
As someone who played team sports for over a decade… the other girl, who lost, is the one not acting in a good sportsmanship like manner. She should have accepted the loss with grace and humility, valuing the golden learning opportunity it represents.
Apologizing for scoring the winning shoot would devalue everything she worked so hard for and is mad disrespectful.
This is a 3 out of 10 for the AI. It does represent the weakness of society now. Everyone has to feel good even when loosing. No you don't. If loosing does not hurt then it does not give you motivation to win. Best line in Shoresy, they do not hate to loose.
I could be wrong but is the way she celebrated with her team showboating? It didn’t seem like we got all the details. I don’t think it was about her winning it seems like it might of been about how her and her team acted afterwards?

These are 13 year olds? What are the parents going to do when the kids get to high school? That behavior is not going to go over well.
Did the other team text Mia when they won the last 2 times?
What bs is this??? It's a competitive sport, boo hoo if your feelings are hurt😂😂😂
nope… not a chance. Coach is wrong.
If you play a sport you must be prepared that you will loose a match from time to time. If that girl can't handle that she needs to look for a different hobby.
Bwahahahahaha yanks and football will NEVER work 😂😂😂😂😂
That coach is a right wanker and a traitor to his side, and FUCK that other club. Football is war.
I have one question. Why didn't the whole team have to apologize
Yeah……. that's some bullshyte 🤷♀️.
Let me guess they need to participation trophy as well
I would have asked if the other team had ever apologized for winning.

Also well done to your daughter ❤❤
😂😂😂😂😂 apologise for scoring the winning goal.. if the other team had won would they be apologising, don't think so
You shouldn't have to apologize for winning
sorry but how did she celebrate over the top? she just celebrated a goal. if it was the other way around would they be apologising to you?
Boo hoo we lost,I demand to see your manager.
sack the coach. if you play any sport you know. only one person can win.
Coach Dana is an idiot
The coach is full of sh*t also apologizing for would just come off as bragging
NO! Dana is ridiculous.

Ok, the first mistake was thinking that playing as a defender was a "lesser" job.

Avery probably wanted a participation trophy
What kind of participation BS is that? "I'm sorry I beat you and celebrated a championship win"? Is thst what she should say?
The Avery needs to be taught about good sportsmanship. Losing hurts, but you can punish others for being happy for winning.
Unless she screamed “in your face” I don’t see a problem tell them once the basketball refs start doing their jobs we can really worry about sportsmanship

Yeah, we know this ain't real because no fucking father is gonna sit there and say that their kid needs to apologize for winning the game

Victory IS life. You can't be sorry for winning, I am sick of the participation awards.
Does the coach make every person apologize when they score? What's her beef with Mia?

LOL um, no
I’m just here for the food
These parents man i swear. Coddle and spoil their kids. Avery parent's are setting her up for failure in life
No, some days you win some days you lose. Suck it up buttercup
Stop this participation trophy shit
Avery must be a crybaby.

"Sorry you felt an emotion you had every right to feel at something disappointing and our adults are making it all about them"
People have no freaking spine anymore.
That's and untitled child crying 😭😭😭 because she lost sounds like the parents are untitled 😞😞😞 to because their child lost 😮😮😮
