  1. The best way for Chelsea to approach the game on Sunday against City is to do simple basics: Solidify the defense and midfield, no inverting defenders as the CB are not good enough to handle the pressure of City attacking strategies.

  2. I usually expect a team to do better when a manager leaves. The players are more free to do what they think they can do and are more eager to try. There's no pressure because they already have an excuse if they lose. No one will nag them if they don't follow a manager's tactics to the letter. They will simply go on the pitch and enjoy the freedom while it lasts. Everyone expects them to lose because of the departure so no worries. That makes Chelsea more dangerous. City on the other hand are expected to win. The pressure is on them to deliver what everyone believes is a certainty. Given how they dropped points against Sunderland, the pressure is now greater. If they don't win, look out!! As for their last game against Sunderland, City have reverted back to pass, pass, pass and possession at all costs. I don't recall seeing any shots attempted from outside the box. They wanted to penetrate the defensive wall with quick little passes, always one too many. And the Sunderland players really, really wanted to prevent City from scoring and worked exceptionally hard at doing so. The City defenders could learn a thing or two about defending by adopting Sunderland's willingness and commitment to defending their goal. And there seems to be some reluctance towards getting the ball to Haaland. He did get a couple of touches, one really good chance, but other than that, everyone else wanted their piece of the pie. City should be more concerned about building a lead and securing a win before pursuing personal goals, but at the moment, they are not.
