  1. Catalan Ben, awesome video. I'm a youth coach here in the U.S. and I struggle to get our kids to understand body awareness while shooting. Balance and technique is so hard to "teach". The drills you demonstrate here are great in advancing kids knowledge of proper shooting, short cutting the years it commonly takes for kids to learn this from personal experience. Big thanks for the work you're sharing.

  2. For a good follow through the key is not only the psoas of the swinging leg, but proper glute activation of the stem leg. I think some hip extension drills before starting to shoot the ball would also be really beneficial to the drills you already do (plantarflexion, asymmetrical swing leg/arm movement and kicking motion).

Love the idea of isolating the technique without the ball first! Any way to implement my this into a training session for u12s without them feeling it's too silly to be fully motivated/ to make them see the carryover value of this? Would lead to much quicker improvement than regular shooting sessions, I think.

  3. Teaching players how to shoot whether it be with laces or curving the ball can be difficult. I think you did a great job explaining it to your player here in a way that is easy to understand. Keep it up!
