  1. There is no much guidance and pathways for young, talented players. There is no money invested in the system. The young talents are basically left on their own, and have to try their luck overseas, by joining academies around the world. Then, when they get there and start their training, they are required to provide an international clearance by Fifa, in order to play football at academy level. This is a total nonsense, and I don't know if things have changed in the last few years, regarding that crazy ruling. My son did go to Stoke City academy from Melbourne, when he was 15, back in 2011. In the first or second year In the academy, I as the parent, was nagged by the club Stoke, to obtain from Fifa a clearance, in order for my son to play football in the Stoke City academy. A lot of headache and nonsense, total rubbish, made up by the world football governing body, who later on were found guilty of corruption, and ended up in disgrace

  2. I'm currently 13 and finished my second season playing in NPL women's for U14s and U15s ( playing full time for both in almost every game) for an Academy and this year was one of my hardest coming back from a dislocated knee and going through the Covid-19 epidemic. I scored 3 times in the season one being a scorpion kick into a top corner but despite thatI lost almost all my motivation for soccer. I missed my first TSP tournament because of getting covid and the fact was I got out of isolation the day after the event. I was completely broken for a while until I found out I could be part of NYC but after trials one day I was eating sushi about to go to training when I got and email saying I didn't get in. I remember just tears flowing and me feeling utterly broken and it took me so long to recover yet i'm not quite there still and doubt I ever will. But i'm looking forward to next year and next season, this taught me a lot and now I do 5km runs daily and my own trainings on top of team trainings because I know thats what it will take for me to reach my dream of playing professionally.

  3. I’m 10 and I have a knee injury because of overdoing sports and I’m very determined to play in the premier league for Liverpool like Harry Kewell.I have all my friend at school who play soccer and maybe footy with me.

  5. I would also say fifth point is persistence. How do you rebound back because your gonna have to fail along the way. People will doubt you and you have to believe in yourself and keep going.

  6. I played in your club and I am chasing this dream right now. I know the covid-19 has cancelled the season but I'm doing my best to go professional by getting into the best teams in Melbourne.
