As a PSV fan we never really cared that much. It became clear pretty quickly that he was very mid and ajax way overpayed. Ajax fans questioned if this was the same bergwijn they saw play for PSV. Then he became captain without having any captain qualities. Whole situation was mostly just funny to me.
Not only did it annoy PSV fans but also Ajax fans like myself. In an interview he was once asked about THE moment of the season for him. Instead of talking about his own feats that season he started yapping about how he and his brother cheered when Lucas made Tottenhams 3th in the semi finals against Ajax, knocking them out of the CL. That in my opinion just screams a clown mentality. The day Ajax signed him I ended my seasonal pass/passe partout of Ajax. Haven't gotten it back since. It still blows my mind how the ones in charge can be so out of touch with their fans.

Every time when he's back in the Philips Stadion, we sing 'Labyrat komt nooit terug' (rat meaning the same in Dutch as in English), to the tune of " 't Dondert en 't Bliksemt", one of the biggest tunes in NL
Nah for us, there's been a few big ones, but just as Bergwijn, a lot of them have failed (Reis, Ihattar, etc), Labyad is one of the few to have fucked us over and has gotten a good career from it. No joy lost there
