How This Team That DON’T Pass Keep Winning

Nottingham Forest finished 17th in the 2023/24 Premier League season. Fast forward six months, and they sit 3rd in the table, behind only Arsenal and leaders Liverpool. Even more impressive is that Forest and Nuno Espírito Santo have achieved this despite having the lowest possession and fewest completed passes per match in the league this season. This raises the question: How does a team that doesn’t pass keep on winning? @JamesLawrenceAllcott@JamesLawrenceAllcott aims to answer in this week’s edition of The Breakdown.

  1. Probably not
The problem is liverpool need to drop a lot of points for them to chase
At this current rate, liverpool wouldnt
I just hope next year half of forrest player are not shipped to another big clubs so we can have something fun to watch

  2. “Nottingham Forest is on fire this season! 💥 Their defense is rock solid with Murello and the right-back killing it. Nico Williams and Hudson odoi are unstoppable on the wing, and Chris Wood is doing the job up front.

  3. This is what the most successful Man United teams also did unless playing a cagey European match. It works. I'm glad someone was watching Fergie. Seems like Man Utd managers after him have forgotten he existed.

  4. If everyone stays fit and they keep doing what they're doing they're in with a decent shout of a place in Europe, but I can't see the wheels coming off at Liverpool. TBH – I would have taken avoiding relegation and mid-table mediocrity, so to be at this level is astonishing.

  5. Loving what Forest are doing this season. The "keeping the ball" and passing square and backwards which has become more and more common over recent years is detrimental to the overall entertainment of the game.
I long for the good old days of fullback to winger to centre forward. 😊

  6. If teams like Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Newcastle take points off Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City and Nottingham Forest can keep winning and clean sheets these stats will help them at least finish 🥈. It’s a big ‘IF’ but without outscoring their opponents they’ll need this to continue around them.

  7. seems like even premier league cant show premier league match clips, yet we are stack with pictures. fun times. Also the mic is ta 5000% sensitivity, every bump in the desk makes my head suffer. shame cause the video is interesting
