  1. He is a tactical nerd, always trying to create something new. Made a poor career choice in 2013 or 14 when he rejected Everton to take Al Ahli. In his defense, a manager getting 3M + 2M€ in objectives per season on those years was insane money for a manager, can't really blame him.

  2. Lots of inaccuracies with the players and their roles but that's ok, nice to see a positive spin for once. The pairings of Joao Gomes + Andre and Agbadou + Munetsi are something that somehow get missed by all pundits but are the most vital parts of the team – just look at how Agbadou alone has changed Wolves. Allows so much freedom to the other defenders and midfielders

  3. Exactly! It's called pass n move. As a kid in the early 70's FA coaches were teaching us that. It's not formation dancing, it's football. Only the wording has changed!. "The press" was closing down. We were awful before Vitor arrived! Why?? Mostly because someone brought Gary O'Neill an i-pad and he googled defensive tactics in football. We started to mark spaces at set peices and after conceeding 20 odd goals from them it became clear players score goals not spaces! Football is a simple game, lose possession, get behind the ball, goalside of your opponent. Get the ball, support your team mate by moving into space.; OK there's spaces to fill in the description, but that's the basis of it. Thank God commonsense returned to Molineux. keep it that way!

  4. Strand has something of Steve bull about him … not a pretty footballer but he absolutely knows where the goal is by hook or by crook the ball is going there … and I love it … it’s looking very promising for next season

  5. LARSEN AGAIN OLE OLE OLE

So how about we talk about the poor referees this season across all games ?
I’d love to hear what PGMOL have to say other than a soppy sorry note when they fuck up to teams

  6. He has done it because we sacked the grossly incompetent and media loved and much excused because he is English Gary O Neil….. that bloke is the emperors new clothes!!

Vitor is fantastic and because he is actual football manager he has utilised the skills of the whole squad to maximise them rather than hinder them like Gary O Neil did.

  7. Interestingly, when considering points/games; had Vitor Pereira been in charge from the beginning of the season, then Wolves could have potentially been in 9th position on 47pts.

Using the same method; had O'Neil still been in charge, Wolves could have potentially been in 19th position on 17pts.

    Extending that for the season.
    VP – 58pts
    GON – 21pts

(This is based on 31 games played. 16 games under GON gaining 9pts – 15 games under VP gaining 23pts)

  8. We can build a team around Gomes and Andre in the middle but it's nice to hear somebody talk so well about Strand-Larson he's about so much more than goals and we've needed a proper number nine for years he gives us a guy who acn hold up the ball when the quick turnaround needs a pause and some body to occupy the minds of defenders to create space. The last 6 weeks or so he's looked much quicker and more mobile than previously so I think we're finally seeing his full potential. Bellegarde is another player who has really shined the last few weeks and the coach has really given him some more confidence on and off the ball.

  9. Fantastic and entertaining analysis! the only thing you missed is the importance of the middle centre back, Agbadou; he’s the critical physical and rapid defender that provides cover for the other defenders to get wide and attack.
