I just started practice this week but the portapots are not being delivered until the end of the month. So hopefully their parent is one who stays in the car and doesn’t leave so they can run them to the gas station because that’s the only option.

I definitely remember the goalies picking grass when I was a kid in rec soccer lol. Sometimes they'd make whole elaborate grass weavings by the end of a game haha.
For my experience of going into a junior league soccer, I had no idea why I was there. My parents just threw me in it without telling me so half the time I didn’t know what the hell we were doing.
I worked for years in a special needs high school and coach, bball, softball, track and general gym class in some capacity under being the full head coach. I saw all of this and more since special needs meant there were varying mental faculties going on.
One thing coaches didn’t in media fail to do is teach fundamentals and explain things. Everyone should be doing the same fundamentals together and improving from there until ready for full games.
dude jessi is a 1:1 reflection of me as defense on my u-8 soccer team where I didn't want to be there and was scared of the ball and all other players so I DID just stand there and then constantly anxiously look back at the coach awaiting instruction while reluctantly maybe giving a quarter-effort to any guidance I was given.
at 5 years old i told my mom i wanted to quit soccer before my coach could "fire" me. she made it clear they can't do that to peewees and i now have anxiety

OK, I don't wanna shit on american or anything but how come so many in the comments are saying that this skit is accurate ? I've never seen anyone play or train like this (yeah even kids). Surely because everyone grew up watching football (or soccer but that word is yucky) and know how it's suppose to be played !
I played, coached and referred as a teenager. This is so accurate to Rec league soccer it's borderline triggering me. This was in the 90s too, which, I hope adds context. She sounds like every Dad who sat on the bench as a wife receiver in college a Lee's McCray University and ended up both in charge of a soccer team and the third best accountant at the Chevy dealership
