I think the best thing about Haaland is the lack of international action in big tournaments, where the probability of getting injured is extremely high. If he can somehow stay fit, he will score a lot of goals, but reaching the level of CR7 and Messi is another ball game.
To be making a projection about Erling Haaland possible career end goals total. It is just to far off for that right now. At his current age he is going great, but he needs to keep doing it for another decade at least.

Haaland is a great goal scorer, but CR7 and Messi where not only their teams best player they were outright the best players with technical skills and tactical awareness to match. If you can replace Ronaldinho you are clearly special. When you can create a Galacticos 2.0 which was arguably more successful than the original Galacticos you are special. Other Haaland speciality needs to be scoring for 40+ goals every season and he is in the conversation for best ever striker… possibly. CR7 and Messi are in a different category!

The problem it’s that they are not calculating that Haaland it’s way to limited as an attacker, haaland might not survive passage of time.
It's a big if, but IF Haaland continued at this pace, he is crushing the CL goal record and maybe total all time goal record. He already has like 200 goals in all comps and hasnt hit his prime yet.

watching messi and ronaldo all my life, and worshiping messi as a god, i think the consistency of quality they produced every season it is very hard replicate, and so soon as well…. but as a football fan, if haaland or mbappe or any other player in europe does break this record… i will be a happy man. may be as a fan of messi i lost, but as a person who's been emotionally attatched to football since childhood, i would love to see it enjoy it once again in my life time…

Im almost certain players these days will not have that same drive, motivation, passion to go into their 30s and still perform. If haaland can continue scoring hatricks every game then he can maybe surpass cr7 and m10 before 30😊highly unlikely
neither messi or Ronaldo was an number 9 until late in their careers, Haaland started there. and he needs another 15 years of 50+ to go. that means city will have to keep pep for another 15 years otherwise they will have no chance.

When Haaland has finished and scored 1015 goals he won't even be in the discussion to be better than R9….drop it. He can score but he is literally a donkey in all other facets of play.
If Ronaldo joined Man City in 2021 he may well have broken every record too but I doubt Erling would have replicated his goals per game if he joined Man Utd even though he is almost 20 years younger.

It wouldn't surprise me if he outscores them, assuming he stays healthy and happy in a superb team working around him. Messi and Ronaldo were not clinical players. They took inordinate numbers of shots and tried to go for the spectacular. Messi was more impressive in how he had an unusually creative and progressive side to his game too, whereas Ronaldo was just trying to score. But neither of them were clinical on average. Håland is about 50% more clinical on average than Ronaldo was in his best ever season for goalscoring. He also doesn't drop deep or start wide but plays as a proper striker. He's also doing better at a young age in terms of raw efficiency than either of those two were. Ronaldo was only about 60% as productive and Messi about 85% by their 24th birthdays.
I can’t wait till Kevin retire and let’s see if Haaland can score
