  1. Realistically, they wasted 3 years with Solskjaer. He was never going to be the new SAF. Everyone knew it but because of a mix of sentiment, impatience and that PSG game he got the job. Now someone will have to come and clear out his toxic, overpriced dressing room if they’re to have any hope of the “cultural reset” they want

  2. The sense of entitlement brought about by the success of Alex Ferguson has led to a lack of patience and an increase in failure. They said they'd have patience with David Moyes Ferguson's choice of successor but he didn't last a season. They said they'd have patience because they thought the success would continue as before. When they realised that wasn't happening they got rid of him. Since then the pattern has continued repeating itself and the spending has gone up and up. So long as the success of the Ferguson era continues to obsess the conscience of anyone associated with Man Utd they will be unable to progress. While people still refer to them as "the biggest club in the world" the global influence of the club is diminishing and the next generation of fans across the world will be Liverpool, Man City or Chelsea supporters.

Alex Ferguson sold the soul of Man Utd to the Devil in exchange for success – now the Devil's called in the debt.

  3. The only comparison that matters between City and United is the return for the same money spent. That says it all. The difference between a well run club and a badly run club. As a Liverpool fan I have no love for either club but the ages long argument that City have bought their trophies doesn't hold water when you compare these two clubs. Yes you have to have the money but you need to spend it properly and have the right manager and coaches to make a great group of players work together.
Chelsea succeeded in the same way as City with the right managers. Liverpool can't compete with the spending of these three clubs but they have an excellent board, manager and coaching team who have done the same with less resources. United's board should be ashamed of the way they have butchered that club and shafted their fans.

  4. No manager can solve this rot. It's top down. The club spent $80m pounds on Maguire. And he's captain. Which club in the right working order would do such a thing? After Sir Alex left, he took the power he had with him. The power to sway the board and the power to bench, buy and sell whoever he wants to ensure success for the club. If the new manager doesn't get those, then forget titles.

The players are to be blamed too. Nobody is playing for the club. It's all ego and how many likes or views they have on their social media accounts. Look at how City plays as a team. They are amazing. Any top European team would pay big $$ for those players.

And all the United players who think they are good enough coz they're playing for a big club should look at the greats like Maradona. The impact he had. They named a stadium after him. These United players will not even have a seat in the stadium named after them. Have some humility and work your asses off. At the end of your short career, even if they don't name a stadium after you, at least the fans will remember you as a legend of the club.

  5. Man… I love Micah… Two times he started saying something at the same time as Keane and Gary and he stopped and let them continue showing the immense respect he has for them…

  6. What’s wrong with you lot!?…you talk as if it’s Man Utd s god given right to win everything!….face it, they’re just nowhere near as good as the top 3, period!……people don’t sit here endlessly whinging as to why Norwich or Brighton etc aren’t at the top!?…..they’re just not the best, same as Man Utd, that’s why!!

  7. Keane wrong:

A new manager is not ganna have the power abd ability to walk in and revolutionize the club. The owners and board doesn't allow it !!

  8. Shouldn't Micah be somewhere playing with lego or making sand castles? Why is he still a pundit? Infnatile, out-of- touch token….yeah, I said it…he's a token pundit.

  9. The idea that Man united have a god given right to be top of the league all the time is false. Their current business plan is to make as much money as possible and given a large proportion of profit back to the owners. The purchase of Cavani and Ronaldo were made to placate the fans and not to produce a football team. Buying so called big names does not produce a big team, take a look at Paris St.Gemaine.

  10. United failed with recruetment whilst City/Liverpool got it right. that's how football works now. Whoever gets in right in the transfer markets will dominate.
