I may be in the minority of this and I don't really care if you agree with me but personally I think it's chickenshit to use loopholes like this the…. The game should be played fair and honestly….I know most people might not agree with me but I don't care it's the way I see it…people dont carry themselves with honor or dignity anymore imo…. when I think of great coaches like Tom Landry or Vince Lombardi or John Madden I think they'd be embarrassed to win in this fashion
Here's what I don't get – I thought the rule was already on the books that this was illegal participation and an automatic 15 yards. Was the NCAA just behind the NFL on this?
Great job of using the wording of the rule to your advantage (and I guarantee NFL teams saw that and a coach needy team may pick him up to find loopholes like this at the NFL level), and it’s a loophole that is rightfully being closed. Bellicheck used these kinds of technicalities about penalties to his advantage multiple times throughout his career and flirted with the line multiple times in his career (see the Mel Blount rule)
Not genius. Borderline cheating.
Not that genius tho simce they coulda got a game winning pick or something and it would've gotten called back due to the penalty.
Apparently they patched the glitch, but hey it was fun while it lasted
He should have never admitted to doing it, now he can't use that loophole ever again!

They should be fined for this.
Why not put DB all along the sidelines and if a ball is thrown near the sideline, have them jump on the field?
Joe burrows uncle has a YouTube channel?
Genuis af
Listen anyone who is saying this is genius but also complaining about flops in soccer really so fucking stupid
He basically said:
“I know my DBs are trash and will allow them to complete whatever route they want on this play so I have to cheat”
I say this as a Lanning fan.
Lanning had to pull out all the line stepping for this. He’s got a new flag in his pocket since past two years he can’t win big games.
they closed this loophole already…
Great work, not being good enough to win so you have to cheat to win 😭
Just put you’re whole team on the field
bitch move

If they did allow 12 players on the field at a time like the CFL what would change?
there’s a rule against 12 players but would you get the same penalty if you put out 13 or 14 players to help even more in coverage
Belicheck and Vrabel both smiled when they saw that
This wouldn't have worked if Ohio State spiked the ball
Peyton Manning's forehead on Joe Burrow
Couldn't have happened to a better team. Hopefully they lose out.
So genius they already changed the rule. Now the time goes back on the clock.
Those field goal numbers are probably pro college kickers aren't't that good. Ohio States kicker career long was 47 yards 0/1 from 50+ 5/8 from 40+
I don’t really watch CFB. Is this allowed on the professional level?
It’s knockoff Joe Burrow.

That should be 15 yards minimum
Not even rhat smart tho tbh huge risk
yeah, its cheap. now that its been done, and it will happen again, theyll change the rule. as it should be.
From what i read they just fixed this so ot doesnt happen again
Bellicheck defo came in his pants when he saw that shit
