  1. The mls owners can’t see the bigger picture and are being typical Americans. The MLS should be one of the best leagues in the world but it’s a retirement home for old players and a stepping stone league for South American players.

The biggest change needed with this league is they need to implement relegation. Towards the end of the mls season every year it gets boring because teams at the bottom of the league are incentivised to finish as low as possible. For it to be successful there has to be a degree of jeopardy for teams that are not good enough.

  2. First of all you have to make it free to watch them. Who tf wants to pay apple to watch mls 😂😂. This isnt prime messi. Whoever likes messi, already watched him week in week out for 15 years in his absolute peak 😂 they dont need to watch full game vs farmers. Highlights would be more than enough if they even care to watch it.

  3. The thing is MLS is currently pushing inter-Miami and Messi even to current MLS fans, I have seen posts of people getting recommended to go watch Messi’s match instead of their MLS team while watching on Apple TV.

  4. Ever since they made the Apple deal, I've not seen a single match. I used to watch any game that was on. So, there may be more to the viewership issues facing the MLS than "what do we do when Messi and Co. finally hang it up."

  5. good arguement. Children fall in love with football either through playing it on the streets with others or through seeing others working magic with the ball. American football culture can really grow with more children witnessing the greatest ever playing in their own country
