  1. This is incompetence. When people are choosing to live and play and raise their families in Saudi Arabia over Italy, it's just sheer incompetence. Are we even trying to keep these players?

  2. 30 years ago the serie a was the league everyone wanted to be in and now they’re not able to compete with Saudi, it’s kind of sad if you deep it, like sure Saudi isn’t going away soon they have money but people still want Europe and the champions league most who have gone to Saudi have been older players and the younger ones like Angelo who haven’t really established their careers yet. But when arguably their best coach Inzaghi jumps ship at a successful club like Inter it kind of says where the league as a whole is at, even Conte he’s not a manager that’s built for longevity because the league just simply doesn’t have what he demands, he wants constant investment and full support which seems impossible

  3. oh this old chestnut, no the Saudi Pro league is not a threat to European Football, yes they may get a competitive league, but that does not make it a threat.
The average attendance of a Saudi Pro League match is 8k people.
The average attendance of a Premier League or German Bundesliga match is 40k…. 10x times more.
If all the best players leave like they do in France, Brazil and Argentina…. so what?
Just like France Brazil and Argentina, European football and Italian football will go on and find new talent….this is how football works.

  4. The Saudi Pro League feels more like a sport-washing project because, firstly, there is no way Cristiano Ronaldo's new contract is so lucrative and ridiculous from a footballing perspective. Secondly, his opinion on SPL being better than Ligue 1 and having the potential to be a top 5 league is just bogus, and we all know it will never happen. So many aspects of the SPL are missing; they just splash out all the cash, there is no good player development, no proper youth system, no structure, no clear goals for clubs, and several other footballing aspects are missing that are needed for a top 5 league.

  5. It's all just a question of money. There is no contentment or loyalty anymore. It's now mainly about the highest bidder for the player and the organization. I don't mind if the players are in their high 30s, but if they are relatively young and the player/organization looks to go to Saudi Arabia for money, that's just being a mercenary or a pawn. Players would be going to a lower level of league play for cash. Dumb. They should also be forgotten by the national teams.

  6. Italian Serie A Clubs are mostly like a for-profit corporations; all clubs need to have a company balance sheet. Now no club can’t spend more than it earns – or at least it must have a debt repayment plan. (Ask Inter or Juventus.)

Pro Saudi League has money and no needs for a balance.

So: when an absurdly good offer comes, Serie A Clubs always take the money.

    (About 2 of these trades…
Milan have wanted Theo Hernansez out of the team from the day He got himself sent off in the knockout game with Feyenoord. 35 milion euros to solve a problem? Taken!

Retegui was improving his game in Serie A. Now his growth will just stop. I think it will be difficult to see him in a tournament with the Nazional team.)

  7. Still the Serie A is the best league on the continent, in my view, because there are 4-5 teams that win it; not just one club, or max two, winning it every single year.

  8. Saudi league won't Grow, it's like being afraid of a billionaire taking your girl by just offering her money, just wait it out and watch the house crumble down later😂

  9. Italian football will have more money to invest – just worried about the players growth. Its failing in the premiership with too many players overpaid. There is a lot of talent today compared in the past. you can find other players. Atalanta might end up in a bad position this year.

  10. Cos Serie A practically pays peanuts & the moment somebody asks for a raise they interpret that request as trying to "extort" the club, Seria A players will be leaving for Saudi as long as they play the stingy ball strategy.

  11. 10 SPL players from Spain, England, France & Portugal have been called up over the last 2 years including for the Euros… what’s the issue about Italian players doing the same?…

  12. It's clear that what happened is another failure for AC Milan's management

If they needed to sell the player, how could they fail to market the league's best and one of the top five in his position to, for example, Premier League clubs or even other European elite teams?

If the management was planning to sell the player, it's unlikely that interest would be limited to only the Saudi League!

The player is an international, a starter for the French national team, one of the best players in Serie A, and arguably the best in the world in his position at just 27 years old, still in his prime

It's inconceivable that he would be sold for only €25 million!

I feel sorry for AC Milan fans who have to deal with this terrible management

The management has committed an unforgivable "catastrophe"
Letting go of a key star shouldn't happen this way

At the very least, they should have sought the highest possible value!

  13. Theo's current salary is only €4 million higher than his previous one

He moved to Al-Hilal for just €25 million!

Leagues such as La Liga, the Premier League, and the Bundesliga spend wildly without anyone noticing or criticizing

What has happened recently in the Saudi League is simply catching up to the spending levels of these leagues over many years

This is a legitimate right and an ambitious vision to develop the league and attract the best technical staff and players in the world

Serie A must elevate itself to match the current spending levels in the transfer market and find solutions to increase its clubs' revenues, otherwise, it will decline even further than it already has

    The Saudis are coming 🇸🇦
    The flood is coming 🇸🇦
Saudis dreams have no end 🇸🇦

    I believe I believe I believe 🔥
