and they lift the title at anfield. crazy man
They didnt shock the league! for about 5 years they had an owner who spent more than most and had already came close! Not everyone watching these videos is 14!
I remember Rovers winning the third divison title in 1975, if you would have said to me that in 20 years we would win the first divison or premier league title in 20 years time id be asking you what drugs you were taking, for people of my age it happened we were there, a golden age for us all
Wasn't exactly a suprise or shock season – they spent big for the time, breaking the tranfer record twice with Shearer, then Sutton. Also broke goalkeeping transfer record with Tim Flowers. They fully deserved the success, but wasn't exactly as David / Goliath as presented here.
I am getting chills running down my spine watching this, this evokes glorious memories especially since this was at a time when I first watched the English premier league. Eventhough I was an avid Liverpool supporter,I admired Shearer,Sutton and Colin Hendry.
deeee only season been
watchd with full football understanding though ….
âaaa wezZ somehow e fan for coventry playstyle backthen, and e bit of de Astonz de Villa !!!
😅😅😅
Now this story should be similar to the Manchester ending in 2012
I love you blackburn, I'm a huge fan from Argentina and I fell in love with this team.
God I wish we could go back to those days, our glory days have long since passed and the only way to regain them in today's game would be at the mercy of billionaire Arab, no thanks.
What a team though, what a season, 90's premiership for me was the peak for English football.
I wish i was born to see this 🌹
Only one Jack Walker
The giant killers killed by bad owners and joke of a owners fit test by premier league
SAS was invincible
King Kenny ❤1at edinburgh Sutton has to much to say 0 respect
magical, no other word for it, COYB 's. what a fairytale ! I'm so glad to see that Mr Walker got to see his, and our dream come true !
Kenny winning the prem at anfield🥲
What a team we had that season ….
If Jack walker didn’t die rovers would still be challenging now
Litsening to this on the final day commentary on bbc short wave radio . What memories.
My birth town
Goosebumps
What does it means “Blackburn Rovers the only town to win a PL title”.? Would someone enlighten me on this.?
To be fair, whilst I'm not sure that much about PL history, I imagine this was one of the biggest parts in PL history, little town Blackburn that was a minor town club suddenly housed the most expensive British footballer and won the Premier League, we really fell from grace, Shearer will always be a part of the worlds history and especially ours ⚪️🔵🌹
King Kenny winning it at Anfield couldn’t write it any better
Watching this in 22/23 season, 6 games left
Arsenal top
I'm hoping it doesn't go down to the wire like this
Don't think I'd be able to stand it😂
I was at the Liverpool game that day supporting my beloved Liverpool and probably for the first time in my life i really wanted us to lose just to see King Kenny win the league but as it happened it turned out fine for both sides
Don’t get me wrong i admired Ferguson and what he brought to football and the way he played his team i have nothing but respect for him but this day well just brilliant for Blackburn 👍
If Alan Shearer played nowadays he would still be the most expensive signing ever. He'd have a better chance at winning the league with Newcastle too.
Pathetic club and a Pathetic owner bought them a trophy..these days Blackburn cry about everybody who receives parachute payments because they really need some but are NEVER going to be good enough to ever return to the Premier league whilst their illustrious neighbours burnley do things the right way and have earned the success that they see at turf Moor..utc champions 22-23 🏆
Rovers 💙
Seeing Liverpool lise 😢
Seeing man United not win the league 🤩
