  1. Orlando City rant from an Orlando fan-
Crew fans, even I’ll admit we didn’t deserve to win that game- Schulte had barely a clue what to do with the ball at his feet and had to take several touches to get it from underneath him every time, yet he was untouched. Our shape and control felt sloppy and we’ve noticeably have had the same tactics for the past four games- flip a coin to see how early we park the bus, wait for our opponent to go up, weak press the keeper no matter their talent, and heavily rely on comebacks and park the bus tactics when we are in the game, plus urging mistakes in the midfield- the only time in the previous run we didn’t do that was against LA Galaxy, and that actually worked- the lineup should start with Gallese in goal (the MLS reflex king), then include Schlegel and Abdi Salim on the wings (they both love to track pressure, good for a wingback and I get why Pareja played Schlegel here yesterday), then include Carlos and Jansson in the central defense. The midfield was the best part of the game, but Cartagena is too weak compared to most of the league’s midfield. So, along with González and Araújo, throw Thorhallson a bone, at least until Pereyra comes back. Lastly, our attack is normally atrocious- it isn’t hard to see that Ojeda is quickly becoming a flop and is playing the wrong type of football- Torres is an excellent playmaker, McGuire is already a MLS Newcomer of the Year nominee, and it would come down to Angulo and Kara- although Angulo works hard on the field no matter where he plays, he isn’t fed the ball much, yet Kara tends to choose when to and when to not be good, and he needs to stop having impacts in the second half or late in the first half, and he has got to start working 90 minutes- if he did that, Kara would start. So, against NYCFC this Wednesday, Gallese, Schlegel, Jansson, Carlos, Salim, González, Araújo, Thorhallson, Torres, Kara, McGuire- make it happen.
And for those who believe that Pareja should go, quick question- who the hell do we sign? Don’t even think about Josema Bazan on an interim basis, because all he does is player development and no tactics- and although Caesar Baena has made Gallese, Stajduhar, and Grinwis one of the best goalkeeper squads in MLS, he is just like Bazan! If sucks, and I know in all competitions we are 4-5-5, but the only people I can think of who would actually do well in the club’s South American-based culture would be either Marcelo Bielsa (long shot), Ignacio Ambriz of Toluca, or Ruben Insua of San Lorenzo- other than that, what do I have?
Also, our so called wonderkid Enrique reminds me a lot of former player Raul Aguilera- against Miami, Aguilera had one promising game- against Red Bulls to start the season, Enrique had such a promising game, but he’s been downhill since.
Orlando, this should be what you need to do.

  2. I swear this guy JRR is special, I seen him play last year on MLS Next Pro and he pretty much destroyed every team he played against.
    He’s Canada’s future!!

  3. So happy that Chuco goal was chalked off. Never seen a more selfish player before. He never pass the ball or care about teammates. He always shoot looking for personal glory.
