Being a Milan fan, I'm glad they won but have to say Verona was much better than being a relegation side. That prompted me to look at their gf, ga, and pts vs xg, xga, and xpts (hypothetical points based on xg/xga): they are 20pts (!!!) lower than their xpts. That is a bigger gap than any team in the top leagues by quite a bit, bigger than I have ever seen. With those pts, they would be comfortably above the relegation zone. They've scored 13 less than xg and allowed 10 more than xg, which suggests they are creating chances and denying opponents chances at a fine rate, but technical skills are letting them down in both boxes.
