  1. The difference between Curaçao and other colonized countries is that we chose an intelligent path rather than an emotional one. Instead of reacting emotionally and demanding independence too quickly, we decided to take a different approach. Colonizing nations took 300 years to become wealthy through human trafficking, the labor of enslaved people, and the plundering of heritage. We believe it will also take us 300 years to restore our land. One hundred years have passed, and we still have 200 years to go. That is why Curaçao is growing exponentially faster and more sustainably than other Caribbean countries. Therefore, the diaspora within the Kingdom is entirely natural. No matter where you are born within the Kingdom, it does not matter.

  2. Which heartbreak after they have been disrespectful to Curaçao and our Flag 🇨🇼. They have brought things for the victims of the huricane with our charters.. That is why that place at the World Cup is ours . CURACAO BLESSED COUNTRY🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼🇨🇼

  3. Jamaica have to play to the level they are capable of to beat Congo..

    Respect.

  4. People keep saying Curaçao “shouldn’t” win because many players were born in the Netherlands, but that argument makes no sense. In international football, birthplace doesn’t define nationality — heritage does. Players around the world represent the countries of their parents and grandparents. It’s completely normal and fully within FIFA rules.

Curaçao has a huge diaspora in the Netherlands because of the Kingdom connection, so of course many Curaçaoan players grow up there. That doesn’t make them any less Curaçaoan. If anything, it shows how strong the island’s football culture is beyond its borders.

If France, Morocco, England, or the Netherlands can field teams full of diaspora players without anyone questioning their legitimacy, then Curaçao deserves exactly the same respect. The game isn’t “ruined” — it’s evolving, and Curaçao is part of that progress.

  5. As a US I really thought this team like Jamaica , Costa Rica, Honduras , Guatemala, Salvador and Nicaragua would have a huge chance of qualifying for WC2026 but I realize That Football can give you many surprises. Respect for all this nations that gave their best for the team.
