  1. The media trashed him on so many occasions that I remember….

    Personally I liked the man. Thank you for taking the England job , many memories.
    The way he held himself in his final year or so was amazing which transcends football he certainly touched the hearts of many RIP

  2. It made me sad hearing that he passed. Even though we knew it was coming with his illness. I grew up in the 00s watching England, and along with the heartbreak we saw some amazing moments. Along with the Germany game, there was the Argentina friendly in 2005. Owens 2 late goals, the roof came off the pub I watched that in when he scored the winner.
